Ford Ranger 2008Change

Great truck! I've have kept it undercoated from day one and with 172000 km's everything is great. Original clutch and i still get 35 mpg imperial with the 2.3 four cylinder. I have had over 700lbs of aluminum in this truck and pulled away on a hill no problem. As for maintenance basic wear items breaks, shocks, spark plugs, wires, universals, and pinion seal. One word of advice though it's easier just to go to the deal to get these parts. I have put after market plugs in the truck and it misfired for a month before i figured it out.

Nice little truck, Easier to find a parking spot than it's big gas guzzling brothers. Smooth riding and comfortable seating. Air Conditioning blows nice and cold even on the hottest summer days. Passenger compartment gets nice and toasty even on minus 35 Celsius days. The Sirius satellite radio makes driving through the mountains an even more pleasurable dive with great selection of stations and no "Dead Zones"

This truck has been amazing since day one. I wish i didn't have to let go of it! I am having a baby and its no longer suitable. This vehicle is truly wicked!

I found it to be a great little truck. Perfect for transporting boxes, rakes, shovels. You can load a large 4x8 sheet in the box !.

Great work truck, never had any issues with it. Kept it maintained well, always fixed any parts when needed and had it serviced regularly. Fun to ride and and nice to look at.

Very comfortable and reliable. Easy to clean inside and out. Looks great with the gravel guard trim and hood scoops (just for show) I added last summer and has made heads turn. Gas is affordable and is in great mechanical condition. I'll be sad to see it go.

This is an extremely reliable vehicle .It has lots of power!
It has very comfortable seating on long drives and lots of fun to drive. It has never been smoked in, nor pets.

It has been the best truck I have owned. Good mileage goes like stink, very comfortable, and gets the job done. Compact but has enough leg room for comfort.

This truck has the capability of a truck with the fuel mileage of a car. It is perfect for someone who needs to have a truck for the odd day but not needing to spend lots of money on fuel and the vehicle as a large truck. Better fuel mileage since it is a 4x2.

I've had this Ranger from new. I have had no mechanical issues and for the most part have serviced it myself. I have it set-up for trailer towing and it does an adequate job towing my 5,500 lb camper trailer.
In my view, the only drawback is the fuel economy, or lack thereof. I haven't been able to get more than 20 mpg hwy driving conservatively. I understand that owners are getting better than that with full sized 4X4's.
Other than the gas mileage, I think it's an excellent truck and would recomment it to family and friends.

It was a good little truck,but now we need only one vehicle.
Always drove a Ford and never had any problems.

I'm a big guy and I fit but it's a little tight close to the drivers side door. Performance, power, and fuel economy are excellent and it's cheap to repair. If your looking for a small truck that is easy to accessorize cheap the ford Ranger is your lil mule.

Not many problems With this truck over the past 4 years. I live in British Columbia so this truck needs to be winterized or else your will be doomed to get stuck. Weight in the back and snow tires are a must. This year I'm using stud'd tires and they make a huge difference. I'm able to get up any hill with any type of snow or ice. Fuel Mileage is great, about $60 to fill the tank. It gets about 2 weeks on a tank of fuel on average.

This vehicle since new, has been amazing. It has been extremely reliable with not one internal or external problem. It has been very well maintained, but has payed for itself in a combination of good gas mileage and low cost ownership (maintenance and insurance considered). In addition, at least in my opinion, deffinately the best exterior styling that Ranger has ever had. Bottom line is, this truck is great "bang for your buck".

My Ford Ranger
I own a 2003 ford Ranger. For me this is a great truck for the outdoors person. With the King Cab there is plenty of room for people and gear. The high clearence makes it great for going places that many cars can't. The only thing I do not like about my truck is that being a V6 it likes gas other then that it is fun to drive and has never let me down.

loved the color. it was perfect. i loved the exterior styling because it looked sporty. it was a comfortable truck to ride it. it handled great on and off the road. you could handle putting small loads or big loads in it and it would handle it. it was always reliable to when you wanted to go somewhere. i would recommend it to all my friends and family.

I bought my truck at the end of the year and after rebates and other discounts it was a frugal $12500. Amazing deal. Air conditioning, the towing package and an am/fm radio were all that was standard. Manual transmission was part of the standard package and an excellent compliment to the towing package. By no means is this a luxury cruiser, but a little work horse through and through. My truck is equipped with the 2.8 liter 4 cylinder motor; tons of pep and usually gets me 625km on a tank of gas. I have pulled everything from my landscaping trailer, bobcat to 2800lbs of gravel in the bed and it just keeps on going. Straight up awesome truck. Enough said

This car is great, can go anywhere and is really reliable. Comfort could be a bit better and it is not the most fuel efficient. You get a great truck for what you pay for though.

This is our main personal vehicle. It serves us well and meets or exceeds our daily use needs. As it is smaller then its big brother the F150, it is a perfect urban truck. It is easy to park in those smaller shopping complex parking spaces, has cargo capacity almost equal to the F150 and is a good drive on both urban and rural roads. Its downside is that is lacks the tech and amenities of the new F150. If you are looking for a truck that has the conveniences and amenities of new cars the Ranger will not provide this. However in spite of its lack of tech and comforrt whiz, it is an good compromise as it offers excellent cargo capacity, it is mechanically reliable and like the energizer bunny - just keeps on going and going.
