2005 Ford Ranger

Trim: Level 2
by Diana7639 on 09-09-2016
A must have vehicle
This truck is in awesome shape. Has been well loved. Never given us any issues. Has not been driven in the winter has been oiled well. 4x4 works great and the lights on the back rack are perfect to light up the night.

2005 Ford Ranger

Trim: XLT 4x4 extended cab
by Aaron9655 on 01-20-2013
Reliable. Cheap. Great in the snow. Just a nice tough little truck.
Bought this vehicle used. It's amazing in the bush and it surprises me as to what it is able to do.

Parts for this thing are everywhere. Between local parts shops and online dealers, you could rebuild this truck from top to bottom for a small price. I've been able to lift it, swap out the rear differential for a limited slip one with disk brakes (ford explorer), supercharge it (from a 94 ford Thunderbird), and used rims/flares/grills etc are readily available for customization.

One thing I have against it is that you can't really seat anyone in the extended cab... it really only seats two. And kids can't sit in the back either cause their boosters/etc cant be mounted in there legally. Oh... and one more thing... it would be nice to have a 1000lb capacity in the bed instead of just 500. So maybe I'll swap out some F150 rear springs so that it won't sag so much with a heavier load (ps. I put belltech 6400 shackles in there and it helps :)

LOVE my Ranger
Great car for me
I find it easy to drive and comfortable on all roads.
it's versatile enough to haul wood one day then drive to an urban indoor parking space the next day.
It's an unusual car for a teacher so my students love it!
