Ford Explorer 2004Change

I've owned this car for over 10 years now. It looks great and has a beautiful leather interior. The problem is that in this time it has experienced what seems like a never ending stream of problems.

I have had this vehicle since 2008, its an Eddie Bauer special, it has been great for transporting both people and helping move numerous things the capacity is great, very comfortable ride, leather seats - will hold onto it until it dies on me - my only complaint is the mileage but then its a large vehicle so it is to be expected.

You won't find a cleaner one out there. It gets 23 MPG which is amazing for a V8! The heated leather seats are very comfortable to sit in for long periods of time. If we didn't have to upsize then I wouldn't get rid of it.

I just love this Explorer, with its V8 power but comfortable heated leather seats I hate to sell it although I did upgrade! This vehicle has had minimal problems ranging from replacing brake rotors to a speed sensor. Mechanics have consistently told me they are surprised how good of shape it is in for the amount of km's and age.

Never had a problem with it or let me down, drives excellent and smooth. Comes Safety and E-tested, low kms, love the Suv but its time for something a bit smaller.

overall not bad but 8 years old now needs valve cover gasket and possibly head gasket. looking at minimum $1500... although it did go 4 years with very minor work done.

I love our Ford explorer! its so sturdy and i feel SO safe riding in it. one day we slid down an icy hill and hit a pole in it, but inside the car we were all super safe and sound! Love love love it. The only downside is the third row of seats is really hard to get to.

Overall has been good. Fuel economy could be better 11L/100km highway 18L/100km city... engine and transmission have been holding up good so far with 229000km.

It may not be the most beautiful looking car in the world, but its very reliable, and it's good to drive in all sorts of terrain.

This SUV has excellent space for the amount it costs. I would recommend it to anyone with a spouse and 1-2 children. I use this car mostly helping my friends get places and occasionally help move them. It's a great little SUV. The only thing I would change is fuel efficiency - it uses gas up so quick.
