Great family SUV!
Great vehicle all around! Perfect for families that need space. Kids love the dvd player. It's just too much in fuel for the commute I do to work each day. Has been a reliable vehicle for us!

Great truck
This truck performs well and is very reliable. It handles very well in the winter and in all weather conditions. This truck is very safe and sturdy and is very good for families and first truck owners. It is not to big but yet not to small, the size is perfect.

Sucks on towing
Overated, this suv is rated 7K lbs but most likely good just for 5K lbs, has multiple issues related to electrical, transmission, transfer case and differential

Reliable
I have been driving an Explorer for a few years now and have had an overall pleasant experience with it. If you are used to smaller vehicles, as I was, you may find it slightly more difficult to maneuver, but all in all it's a good solid ride with ample space that still doesn't make you cram yourself into parking spaces.

Gas guzzler
I like the 4x4. Very spacious inside, handles well, looks nice and has alot of options that make the ride more comfortable such as: heated seats, automatic rear view mirror dimming, a/c etc.
Unfortunately I found out after buying it that it averages 15 litres of fuel to go 100 km. You can almost see the gas needle going down as you drive across town.

No Regrets
Bought this truck in 2006 with 67,000km. Other than replacing the normal wear and tear items, still no surprises @ 210,000km. We've even been towing our 4,000 camper for the past few years. Great truck.

My Eddie
I love this SUV. Lots of room and a comfortable ride. Not the greatest on gas but we didn't get it for that. Can stuff it full on long trips and it doesn't lag.

Where's The Gas?!
Great appeal, lousy handling and gas mileage. But I love the look of the exterior. Lots of room for everyone with the third row seating. Seems to lack a bit in take off power and rides like a truck on the highway. Not much for comfort at all as I find my butt and lower back hurt after 60km or so. Great in the snow and off road though and I have a blast with the kids in the mud.

Reliable Strong Little 2 Door Truck
I bought this truck at an auction almost 3 years ago- I am a salesman on the road, and this is my every day lifeline. My truck has almost 260,000 kms on it- it does not burn oil (I only use Mobil 1 synthetic) and it does not leave a single drop of any fluid on the pavement. The 4L V6 purrs like a kitten, and still has enough guts to pass on the highway. The paint is in excellent condition, mind you this truck gets washed regularly in every season- moreso in the winter. It also gets waxed at the beginning of every season. It gets constant regular precautionary maintenance. I have replaced all the regular wear and tear items since I bought it (it had 168,000 kms when I got it). Minor front end components (stabilizer links, tie rods...nothing major costly) and an alternater. I average 30-40K a year with 60% highway driving. Brakes, Tires- all wear normally. Shift on the fly 4x4 is a well-loved function in the winter, and boy- is it nice to have fatter tires to drive over things- i.e. curbs!! I will say this little bread box is thirsty- I average 260kms per tank city, 400 kms a tank highway... however it is a square box. I replaced all 4 shocks (no struts in this little monster) a year ago- however do not expect it to ride like a Lincoln- it's rough and jiggly...after all, it's a truck! Great space in the back even with it being a 2-door, the back seats fold down flat and a 5' bathtub in the box fits, door closes! Cargo space... A plus! I have nothing bad to say about this little beast- It's super fun to drive, sporty, looks stylish and I've had great reliability. I've got a list of people that want it when I'm done with it!
