Find your WAH

For some people, a vehicle is simply an appliance, a means to simply get from A to B. But where’s the fun in that? Hyundai understands that so many more people need more from their car or SUV; that’s where ‘WAH’ comes in. The word ‘WAH’ is Korean for ‘Wow’; think of it as the intangible element that the automaker designs in to every one of its vehicles. But WAH means different things to different people; maybe you find your excitement with outdoor family adventure, or clipping apexes at the track, or even getting chores done around the house. The thing is, there’s a vehicle in Hyundai lineup for everyone’s ‘WAH’; what’s yours?

Outdoor adventuring - Santa Fe XRT

Why not get to your next adventure in style? The completely redesigned Santa Fe looks like no other mid-sized SUV, with a rugged, boxy design that offers class-leading interior space. A wide tailgate and three rows of seating – with the two rear seats foldable – make the Santa Fe versatile for both passengers and cargo. Available hidden assist handles make it easier to access cargo on the bridge-type roof rack.

HTRAC all-wheel drive with multi drive modes helps get you there safely no matter the conditions. The Santa Fe comes standard with an efficient hybrid powertrain with 231 hp, or opt for the turbocharged 2.5T with 277 hp to bring towing up to 4,500 lbs for your trailered toys.

But as rugged as it is outside, the interior is plush and comfortable for up to seven passengers. A wide array of electronic driving aids is standard, and the 12.3-inch infotainment screen houses standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto with Bluetooth while the sunroof makes the cabin feel airy.

Attacking the track - IONIQ 5 N

This all-electric car was born for a racing circuit; in fact, Hyundai’s N performance division has its development headquarters based at the famous Nurbürgring race track in Germany. And it’s not just the 601 hp (641 hp with boost) and 545 lb.-ft. of torque (568 lb.-ft with boost) from twin electric motors that make this a monster around the curves. Building on the already quick Ioniq 5, the N gets a reinforced chassis, lowered suspension, beefier brakes, better aerodynamics and a new 84 kWh battery, among many other changes, to make the Ioniq 5 N a true performance car.

Need more convincing? The Ioniq 5 N was named World Performance Car for the 2024 World Car Awards, beating out the likes of the Ferrari Purosangue, Aston Martin DB12 and Mercedes AMG C 63, among others.
