What's new and what's gone at Audi Canada

- New Q3, Q5 and A6: all three are new generations. The Q3's starting price rose by as much as 22% as entry trims were cut.
- Q7 and Q9: the 2027 Q7 is redesigned with a 429 hp twin-turbo V6, and its starting price rose by about CA$16,600. The new Q9 three-row flagship starts at CA$123,300.
- Gone: the A4, A7 and S7 (only the RS 7 remains), Q8 e-tron, R8 and TT. The A8 is being phased out.

Audi e-tron EVs
Audi offers electric versions across most of its range: the Q4 e-tron compact SUV, the Q6 e-tron mid-size SUV, the A6 e-tron sedan and Avant, and the e-tron GT. The Q6 and A6 e-tron share a new 800-volt platform built for fast charging, and the e-tron GT shares its platform with the Porsche Taycan. The first-generation e-tron SUV, later renamed Q8 e-tron, ended production in early 2025.
Luxury tax, tariffs and rebates
Luxury tax. Canada's federal luxury tax applies to new vehicles priced over CA$100,000. It is the lesser of 10% of the full price or 20% of the amount over CA$100,000, with GST or HST charged on top. At base price it applies to the A8 and S8, RS 6 Avant, RS 7, e-tron GT, SQ7, Q9 and SQ9, RS Q8 and higher Q8 and SQ8 trims, and the top S6 e-tron and SQ6 versions. Options can push a Q7, Q8 or A6 e-tron over the threshold.
Tariffs. Audi builds its Canadian models in Germany, Hungary, Slovakia and Mexico. None comes from the US, so Canada's counter-tariffs on US-built vehicles do not apply to current Audis.
The federal EV Affordability Program pays up to CA$5,000 on an eligible EV, but imported vehicles must have a final transaction value of CA$50,000 or less. The least expensive Audi EV, the Q4 e-tron 45, starts at CA$59,990, so no current Audi qualifies.
Audi warranty and Audi Certified :plus
| Coverage | What to expect |
|---|---|
| New vehicle limited warranty | 4 years or 80,000 km |
| High-voltage battery | 8 years or 160,000 km |
| Corrosion perforation | 12 years, unlimited km |
| Roadside assistance | 24 hours a day in Canada and the US for the warranty term |
| Audi Certified :plus | Coverage up to 6 years or 160,000 km from the original in-service date; 24/7 roadside with trip interruption; Carfax Canada report; 7-day or 500 km exchange |
Audi's four-year warranty is in line with other German luxury brands, and its 12-year corrosion coverage is among the longest available.
Buying a used Audi in Canada
Consider Audi Certified :plus
Certified Audis keep coverage up to six years or 160,000 km from new, which matters on a German luxury car once the factory warranty ends.
Check the service history
Turbocharged Audi engines and quattro systems need maintenance on schedule. Ask for records of oil changes, DSG or S tronic transmission service and timing components on older models.
Run the VIN for recalls
In January 2026, Audi recalled 30,266 vehicles in Canada for rear-camera software, covering A6, A7, A8, Q7, Q8, e-tron and e-tron GT models, plus 3,859 vehicles for rear seat belts. Other 2026 recalls covered e-tron brakes and 2019 to 2021 Q3 steering. Check Transport Canada's recall database and confirm the work was done.
Used e-tron models can be strong value
Electric luxury cars have generally lost value faster than gas models, which can make a used e-tron or Q4 e-tron a lot of car for the money. Check the battery warranty's remaining term.
Audi alternatives
| Alternative | Better if you... | Why |

| Lexus | value reliability and hybrids | The Canadian-built NX and RX rival the Q5 and Q7 |
| Genesis | want more equipment for less | The GV70 and GV80 compete directly with the Q5 and Q7 |
| Porsche | want an even sharper drive | The Macan Electric and Taycan share platforms with the Q6 e-tron and e-tron GT |
