Excellent Van
Having used it for three years on several long trip and short trip, it is an excellent vehicle that provides comfort and eases your travelling. Ideal for long trip travelling, comes with DVD player that keeps young children entertained.

Other than the oil change at 10,000 kms or every 6 months there are no major maintenance work required.

The heated mirrors are blessing in disguise during the winter.

The extra comparment below the in-between space of front and middle seat is ideal for long travels to store beddings or other things.

Terrific ride and a very reliable family van
Very happy with Honda products and this van did not disappoint. It handles and performs the same as when it was new. Your family will enjoy this van just the same. Now moving into and suv.

2010 Honda Odyssey

Very reliable
Car almost always runs smoothly, couple of small problems that were easily fixable and possibly not even the cars fault. Very smooth drive with good steering. Not the best looking car but the odyssey is all about performance/reliability, it is not known for it's looks. All in all a good car that is worth buying.

You get what you pay for. This is an expensive mini van, but it rarely has mechanical issues, has lots of power, holds 7 and gives lots of flexibility for families.

Solid, Enjoyable, and Convenient
Bought new from dealer. Comfort-wise, good seating all around. Quiet. Absorbs bumps well. Performance curve is too good, easy to haul 8 of us without strain. Stable at high speeds. Cornering suspension is very good for a minivan. Best steering radius to get in out of tight spots. Fuel economy is below expectations, because the power curve is so good - it's effortless to consume too much. Wish there was a power/economy selector. On long highway, economy is very reasonable. Onboard instant fuel consumption calculator often used. Tires are hard so good rolling. Interior Design looks good and quality materials, but ergonomics needed. Cupholder locations and interference, floor slope at front doors (water collection), retracting second row seating lack-of-memory positioning, dim and archaic navi, tiny glare prone LCD clock, where-to-put center seat storage, very poor speakers placement... my personal list has much more. For Exterior Styling, it's good. For Reliability, battery has not enough reserve. Sliding door handles hard to operate. Trunk hard-to-close when open beyond 10 minutes, so concern of motor strain. Overall, this car is still new so reliability is high.

2010 Honda Odyssey

Trim: EX-L
by Planetmail on 10-25-2012
2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L, an Excellent Choice!
Honda designed the Odyssey with families in mind. The inside is spacious, capable of seating up to 8. Our family of 5 has no problems seating everyone, including a friend or two when needed. Remove the second row seats & flip the back row seats down flat into the floor and now you have a cavernous space to haul just about anything.

The "L" in EX-L stands for leather seating, including a powered sunroof in the package. A favorite feature are the powered sliding doors and rear hatch. Any parent, who has had their hands full of kids or groceries will appreciate an easy 1 button push to have that sliding door waiting open & ready to get the little ones out of the elements. No more setting stuff down on the ground to open a door. We never understood the need or value of such a feature until we became parents.

Let's talk about safety, with 8 airbags, the passenger compartment is completely attended to. There are front airbags, front side airbags and side curtain airbags for second and third row passengers. Add a decent set of winter tires and you have a confidence-inspiring vehicle for all road & weather conditions. I've tried to upset the stability of our Odyssey with sharp inputs and it always maintains control.

Moms & dads are concerned equally about safety but dads are more concerned about performance than moms. So for you dads here it is. The Odyssey has a 3.5L V-6 engine making 244 hp with 240 lbs-ft of torque. These numbers translate into a minivan that can get up and move. We chose the Honda due to the performance feel it had above any other minivan out there. It had power, it had handling and it did so unlike any other. Coupled to an electronically controlled 5 speed automatic transmission, the Odyssey is rated for 12L/100km city & 7.7L/100km highway. Our real world driving numbers equate to an average of 10L/100km combined, meaning you can travel 660km before filling the 80L fuel tank.

2010 Honda Odyssey EX-L, an excellent choice!
