Honda Odyssey 2003Change

Love this vehicle, interior quality is good and looks nice form exterior. I have almost 250,000 Km's on vehicle and basic maintenance is easy to perform.

Used to run 5 children around and on long trips. Very comfortable and reliable! Highly recommend!

Interior is very well made and comfortable, not like some mass produced mini vans of domestic brands. Turning radius was better than expected. Air blew cold when needed. Gas mileage was as expected, not great but not as bad as other vehicles I have driven.

We have owned our Oddy for 5 years now. She has great styling and very roomy. The automatic sliding doors (spray with silicone) and stow and go rear seats are very practical. The rear captains chairs also come out but be careful since they are quite heavy and cumbersome. Gas mileage could be better for the '03 Oddy. It costs about $60 (gas at $1.00/litre) to fill and you only get around 450 km to a tank. The transmission started to go at about 140,000 kms which is apparently quite common in these older Odysseys. The key is ensuring that you replace the trans fluid every 40-50,000 kms. We replaced our trans and torque converter and it has been good ever since. We are beginning to see some rust on the rear quarters and now the windshield is cracked--ugh. We love the power with the 3.5 litre V6 motor. It is great for passing on the 400 series highways along the Golden Horseshoe. The front seats are also quite comfortable for long trips. I took my family to the Maritimes, from Ontario, a few summers ago and we all enjoyed the ride. Overall a good solid and practical vehicle. I still see many on the road.

The transmission is known for being ''weak(5000$) had to be changed before 100KKm, even if it had been serviced at the dealer. Then the motor mounts (700$), shocks (800$). I f you add regular maintenance to that. this car has cost about 2000$ a year in the last six years.
Good performance. Just get very well informed before buying this or any honda/acura product.

Very powerful, reliable and versatile vehicle. Handles loads without sagging due to load-lifter air springs. Has only towed utility trailer. Many different seating possibilities.

We owned it for approx. 7 years (second owner). Van has been good to us. Traveled many long distances. Transmission rebuilt at approx. 175,000 KLM. This was a common issue in earlier Odysseys. No other problems other than regular maintenance. Still has some good miles left on it.

We have this vehicle since new. We have nothing but great memories to mention about the versatility and reliability of it. Although we had several other newer cars during the same period, we always select this vehicle over any other one for long hauls. Even when driving out with our friends with newer van of manufacturers American and Import alike, we select this for comfort and spaciousness. Nothing but raves; from camping to summer vacations to sports tournaments, this vehicle has been awesome.

Drove it to Georgia for a holiday last week for 10 days, and despite the mileage it was like driving a new one.

Honda Reliability is an industry standard. I have owned three Honda's and have been thoroughly satisfied with all of them. Most of the money spent on this Odyssey has been routine maintenance. This vehicle has given us six years and 150,000 kms of great service. Only selling it to get to a newer model.

I never had problem with this vehicle. My family loves it, specially the kids. It has DVD with wireless headphones and a remote controller so it is good for long drives.

This car has given us 10 years of great experiences. The leather seats, DVD entertainment system, and the reliability make this a perfect family vehicle.

I had my 2003 Honda Odyssey for almost 11 years. The van gave me no trouble at all. Very reliable. All I needed to do was fill her up and drive. Of course I had to do the regular maintenance. The ride was comfortable. The car is powerful responses well to your driving demands. The cargo area a huge and can carry a lot of things. Well, I just sold it and will be buying another Odyssey.

Have moved countless friends. Surprising speed. Probably because it's 6 cylinders. Faster zero to sixty than many luxury and sports cars.

Originally, I owned a 1999 Odyssey which I shipped south. After a year in a Lexus, I asked a friend to sell me this 2003 Odyssey when she was ready to trade it in. I missed an Odyssey that much! Busted the lease on the Lexus and never looked back. Now, I am ready to move south and don't want to export a second car as my original Odyssey is waiting for me (and the import duties are already paid on it).

I bought this car 4 years ago. The previous owner sold the car for
buying a car with better fuel economy. I agree the fuel cost is a lot. but the overall performance of the car is 100% reliable. I never faced any trouble with this car. I changed the oil timely . did a a monthly basis check. all is good. I recommend this car. I still drive this car.

Bought new and well satisfied with the value in this van.

No significant mechanical issues. No roadside breakdowns.

Lots of room for gear and the fold down rear seat is very convenitent.

Rear hatch is <6' tall so I bonk my head on it occasionally.

Dealer installed Tow package, but lacks power to tow a camping trailer of any real size.

Consider buying one from the states as they were much cheaper down there even with dutiy at the border.

This van has been great, this is everything that you want from a van. You can carry tonnes of things, forms dogs to luggage. Owned this van since 2003 and some small problems, but other than that its been a really reliable van. Honda has done a great job with this van.

We've had our Odyssey for almost 10 years and we have loved driving it! It is so reliable, we've taken it on long road trips, loaded it up with my husband and i and our 3 kids and ALL our stuff! We plan on driving this van until it gives out and then will definatley get another one!

This van has high kms but we were not scared to take a 3000km round trip down south. Have seen reviews with mention of bad tranmissions but we have had no trouble with ours. Tons of room and pretty good on gas too.

A hand-me-down from my parents when they bought a new vehicle. A highly comfortable and well thought out vehicle, even considering it is a minivan. It lives up to the Honda reputation nearing 300,000kms with no major repairs. The perfomance, for a minivan, was surprising. It could move in a hurry if you absolutely needed it to and did not let down in the corners (for a minivan). Automatic sliding doors can be a hassle in the winter or everytime you offer a ride to someone unfamiliar with your vehicle. Exterior styling was pretty pathetic and did receive a much needed upgrade with the next generation, however, again this is a minivan. Ultimately, if you absolutely need a soccer ferry, this is the Cadillac, so to speak.
