Pontiac Sunfire 1998Change

I have had no problems with this car. It has been amazing to me. I just feel it is time I upgrade to a newer vehicle.

My husband has owned his sunfire since 2001 and it has been great. It has never let him down and run great since the day he bought it. The interior has started to fall apart but its nothing that we can't fix or replace.

My first vehicle.. a very reliable fuel effecient car. If I ever had to get rid of my current vehicle and was looking for a cost effective fuel effecient car this would be my preference of choice. Sporty yet comfortable with plenty of room for all your needs.

This car is extremely comfortable. There is no car I have driven that I enjoyed driving more than my own. While its a '98, I got it 3 years ago with only 69,000 km on it. It had never been winter driven. The cons of this car are that I have had to spend a great deal of money on it. I guess because it is so old and hadn't been driven much, many of its parts had just begun to break down. I have replaced so many parts of the car, and different parts continue to go on me. While I love the comfort, the look, and the power (big engine, dual exhaust), the money I have had to spend on it has lowered my opinion of this car.

Sporty Car, with nice details, just wish it didn't rust out so fast... Good Miledge, a bit bumpy of a ride. Replaced the head gasket at 200 ooo km & is still running. Reliable, good size trunk. This car has its ups and downs. Good engine and suspension. Well built frame and body. Transmission issues from manufacturer including no tranny dipstick. Rough ride. Bad weatherstripping and window regulator alignment. Okay but not great on gas. Fun convertible in the summer. Overall not built as well as Honda or Toyota

I have had this car for about 8 years now and i have never had a problem with it. it is a wonderful and reliable car!

I've beeen driving my Sunfire for 18 months and it's never left me stranded. When I bought it it was a $1500 car and when I sell it it will be a $1400 car.

It's not flashy, but it gets the job done.

I love this car since the day i made the purchase it has never let me down. I can get from point a to point b with no problem. Was a good decision for sure.

This car has never given me any problems. it gets me from point A to point B. Cant complain at all about this vehicle

Good reliable car. Owned it for 7 years and it's only rusting out on the bottom because I didn't faithfully underoil it. Repairs are quite reasonable prices and the car ran well for the as long as I owned it. Would recommend to those on a budget and looking for a cheaper reliable car.

Great on gas and no major problems. Have had this car since 2000 and have only had to replace the alternator (normal wear and tear) and gave it routine oil changes.

Never had any major problems with this car since i bought it back in 2000. Its great on gas and handles like a go kart.

I own a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire and despite it's age and the amount of miledge on it, it still runs like a dream! The car is quiet, has great pick up, and cheap to repair if anything goes wrong! The only downside is it seems to be hard on gas compared to other similar engine sized vehicles that I have owned. I think that may have something to do with the 300,000 KMS on it though :)

the car is great on gas but has way to many wiring problems every once in awhile the car doesn't want to start and the four way go off but if is wants to run it is a great car but also the wiring went on the stereo so i can't even listen to music, i wouldn't really recommend this car just to many problem and not the best car out there

I've really enjoyed owning this car. I find the exterior styling very appealing, even if it's dated. The base model lacks electronic features like power windows and seats, but does include power steering. My model has a standard transmission, it is quick on the acceleration and is extremely fun to drive. The cabin is well insulated so it heats up quickly and has low road-noise. I haven't had any major unexpected or repetitive repairs.

Downers are: excessive body roll when turning hard, and, gas mileage is a little higher than you would expect for a 4 cylinder.

I have drove this car to niagara falls and back several times,and everywhere in between. use it everyday to work and back, good car for it's time, but slowly it's coming to the end of the line. its been reliable car for over 10 years for me.

it is a smooth ride lots of leg room it take coners well all around a great buy. though the shocks could use some strenthing but its all good.

Well equipted 4 banger with a fun to drive feel. Great get around car. Tires hold the road good for cornering
