1970 Volkswagen Beetle

by girlonfire on 10-14-2012
A great car for $2000
A true classic that is still around today in its various reincarnations. This was one dependable automobile. For the first time the Beetle had a gas gauge and a car heater that burned gasoline. It had one of the earliest rear window defrosters and a front windshield that was in one piece. The trunk space, which was in the front, of course was not very spacious but it was adequate especially if you did not own a suitcase. The Beetle's strength was in the snow. It could out perform almost any car on any slippery hill. There were very few four wheel drive cars around in the early 1970s. Repairs were cheap and easy.

2006 Volkswagen Beetle

I Love My Beetle
I love my red Beetle !

It looks great with its minor plastic surgery outside, and a whole-heart transplant inside and it’s also reliable. German cars usually lasted longer than some other countries, with only minimal changes within the timeline. It has the same motor that powers the Jetta and VW would like to point out that parts of this motor-the cylinder head, for instance are adapted from half of the Lamborghini Gallardo’s V10. My Beetle feels safe and strong and it certainly can keep up with traffic in this configuration.

This Beetle’s interior is as unique as the exterior. I love the small flower vase, it suits me perfectly. The seats are comfy even for a long drive to work. Also, even though the truck doesn’t look too big it has huge amount of storage and its more than you’d expect if you flip the seats down to increase the cargo area.

It takes a very special kind of person to buy and drive the Beetle. Obviously I am one of them, I wouldn’t trade my Beetle for any car in the world.
