Volkswagen Beetle 1998Change

My wife and I have had a great time driving this little car. It has a firm "sports car" kind of ride and handling. It has proven to be very reliable and economical. We are on the "older" time in our life and with the car being very low it is harder for us to get in and out of. We bought this car several years ago and loved it and enjoyed it ever since.

First introduced to Beetles in 1962 , in Germany . Great little car for getting around . Good on fuel , but that has been it . Check engine light , has been off and on continuos since 2003. Light bulbs , sensors , window mechanism , over heating, with only 170,000 km this is unreal . Lucky i am a MR fixit . To date i have spent about $4000.00 , now it is overheating , needs a water pump and timing belt , and parts are very expensive . I would have to say it is the worst car i have ever owned .

This car is amazing. Extremely comfortable, reliable and perfect for the city. It is perfect for someone who needs to park it in small spaces like in the city, or who wants a small and safe car.

This is so cute and an ideal woman's car. It is so fun to drive. Head and AC work great
This is the year VW brought the Beetle backing the market. Great car for students.

love this car, always wanted one, never let me down, not even in the cold Alberta winter in -30, fuel economy is amazing. Im just IN LOVE!

Loved my red beetle.
It was a 3 years old baby with less than 60,000 km.
I was so excited! I was changing decorations in my little vase from flowers in a summer time to a snow flakes in a winter.
It is manual transmission, great acceleration, very stable on a highway.
I moved furniture with this car! Looks small, but has lot of space inside. Very heavy sturdy doors. Feels like you are driving a tank, feels safe being inside.
Big minus is abstracted view on a left side. When you turn left you have to stretch your neck to see where you are actually going.
Anyway, loved it very much. But it got old ...and problem after problem. It is not worth to put money anymore.
It's time to say goodbye :(

all in all ive had great driving experiences with this terrific economical car
