Toyota Corolla 1972-2017Change

control was always amazing. It was driven hard in winter/summer but rarely broke down. Very reliable. I would recommend this car to anyone easily. It was a loyal dog that may of out lived the lifespan of its breed but even in old age she performed better than newer models. I miss that car.

My 1999 Corolla is an amazing car that has cost us practically nothing to keep on the road. It still gets amazing mileage and I only have to fill the tank once every two weeks for around forty bucks! (Give or take a couple of bucks depending on the price of gas at the time).

Never had problems with this car - great on gas. Highly recommend it. Not the most luxurious of cars, but it gets you were you need to go reliably.
The only thing I would like to point out is the pick up on the car isn't great - too much revving to get it going on the highway.

The car direction and brake system are very smooth, Well equiped for the price, I am very satisfied so far

i like this car alot, never got any problem with it, i had to go to my toyota dealer once because of recall on my car computer but it always worked fine, i just changed it just in case .
When i'll need to change it , i will take a other toyota that for sure.

The car is decent all around, though it lacks in HP and general usability for other purposes. The plastic supports for the windshield are hideously obtrusive and requires much adaptation.

This car is probably the slowest car I have ever driven but I drive it hard all the time and it has lasted 10 years. My friends to this day still make fun of it but it gets farther on a tank than my new 2012 Toyota Corolla.

Over all a good car

Pros:
- reliable car
- cheap on gas
- good price for the car
- My engine is 250k+ (km) and I have not had any major issues
- The manual transmissions is very reliable

cons:
- exhaust has given me problems. The exhaust is located very low and sometimes I have problems when I back into my drive way. I have replaced the complete exhaust system, part by part
- no tachometer on the car (makes the car look even 20 year older)
- The interior does not look anything special
-The engine starts to burn oil around 200k (which is normal for most cars at this mileage.)

Good overall car. The exhaust on this car is very low so I have difficulties backing up to my drive way. I have also seen similar trims with the same issue. I also had to replace the exhaust completely, part by part, within 250K. Engine is great, burns a bit of oil at 250K which is pretty normal for a car with this much mileage. The interior of the car does not look very special. One big issue with the car is that it lacks a tachometer. It's not a huge problem, but it does make the car seem even 20 year older.
The car has gotten me around over the years and I'm quite happy with it. It's definitely a good student car.

Excellent, very reliable and comfortable. Very well built, Solid car, better than new model in terms of quality.

For an economy car it has plenty of pickup while still maintaining excellent fuel economy. I intend to keep my car till it grinds dirt, which may be a very very long time, no problems with any parts, very easy to maintain.

Great second car and very good on gas. I you're looking for a second car for the kids of university student this would be a great suggestion. Both my girls learned to drive on this car and I think that they can easily handle this car. It is a great ride and I feel very secure when they are driving it cause I think it's safe with all the air bags and the anti lock brakes.

this was the first car i;ve purchase and is smooth driving..that my children keep asking when will we go for a ride... in winter its great drving...

my wife loved driving this vehicle. it drives well and the winter tires (Michelin X ice) currently installed, make it a much easier drive with good traction.

Put in gas, start it up, and it goes. It doesn't have the appeal or performance or following that some cars do, but there is a reason that over a million people purchased a corolla in 2011 - It does exactly what you expect it to do. Nothing more, nothing less.

Pros: EXTREMELY comfortable seats, enough room for four people, five in a pinch

Cons: Clutch uptake/electronic throttle difficult to operate smoothly at first, trunk hinges belong in the 90s, passenger side seat belt warning intrusive.

Overall, the Corolla is not intended to be a fun car, but serves its intended purpose well, and will likely give decades of trouble free motoring

We`ve had the corolla for six years now. It has never had anything done to it other then the routine replacement of brakes and whatnot. It is great on gas completely reliable, an dits not that bad to drive. It`s got good excelleration and it handles very well. I love my corolla and if it ever dies, i`m getting another one.

my 2006 toyota corrolla in basic trim is pretty horrible on performance and styliing but reliable. I really like it but would prefer a sports car, even tough that is a matter of opinion and should not be in this review

I like my Corolla. It's not an exiting car, but a reliable, low cost car. After 8 years, their isn't any noise coming from the car, and still no rust (I live in Quebec, so snow and salt on the car is going to happen).

Performance wise, it's ok. 80% of my daily drive is in traffic, so 128 hp is enough for me. I obtain 9L/100km in traffic, witch is good. It cost me 55$ a week in gas for 300 km (gas price is 1.48$/litters).

Interior quality is better than a 2013 corolla. It was built with better care of material quality and panel gaps. Cost more because of that.

For a car guy, this car is not great, because of the car feedback. steering feedback is ok, but not perfect. I still like the steering of the corolla better than the g37, but it isn't a 1999 civic si.

The motor respond is descent. brakes are a bit weak, but the pedal feel is ok.

Overall, I like my corolla, because I can have another car for summer and the track, while still having a reliable old corolla for every other time.

Unbelievably low kilometers.

For an older car, I have never been let down. It handles well in all conditions and gets good gas mileage. I've driven it across the country and never had any problems with it. It needs a little more attention as it gets older, but I know I'll continue to drive it for a few more years!

Before I had an SUV, Spent a great amount of money in fuel. Moved to this car, and had nothing but pleasure with it. Love my Toyota, that much that I also bought a Yaris!

Hasn't given me any trouble so far. Nothing flashy, but it gets you there. Interior not suited for tall or large people, head room a bit cramped. The factory headrests in the CE model (maybe all) tend to worsen the blind spot over your left shoulder when looking that way.
