Mazda Protege 2002Change

I find a perfect car, that its engine will run forever, but the design is not an attractive one, its a very great car for someone who wants to save money on fuel, and to drive lots of miles with one tank.
A good family car, very comfortable.

Perfect engine--no trouble-no accidents-Excellent pickup from stop. Stick shift perfect for learner.

It always surprises me how much I like driving this car. It handles really well even on gravel and snow and has amazing pick up. It is really economical too. I was driving a Toyota Corolla before and this uses way less gas. I have 3 kids and they sit comfortably in the back. It's not the fanciest thing on the road but it's a great, economical car that pulls through the Canadian snow and climbs up my gravel driveway easy peasy.

Ive had two mazda proteges now and they have been great. i went to school a few provinces over and never had a problem with my car with all the trips between school and home.

This has been my daily driver for years. and if well maintained and looked after. Easily can run several hundred thousand KMS!

i went in to just look over sum prices, when i saw the burgandy protege sitting there i knew i had to take her for a ride. It seems to handle very well gas didnt seem to move either so that's good...

Got this from my mother in law. Not the prettiest thing around, but it can take a beating and keep going, all while saving money on gas.

I loved my protege! It ran great for the 9 years that I had it, eventually it needed more body work then I could afford for inspection. But in my opinion it was a great, peppy little car!

This self biodegradable rust and so we do not see the rust when it is too late, it's awful, if you see surfaces with rosettes loan goest indicating the rear wheels of rust, the outline of wheels it is too later. One year after the car is good for parts, water ready driver's foot hole in the floor and in the trunk, too rusty to be repaired and this morning the windshield broke the rusty structure was break the fast, the car is good for parts, total loss caused by rust, the vehicle design is the cause it destroys itself, can resist the normal duration of a vehicle in a Canadian winter , calcium and abrasive on the roads"

I have had the car for about a year now and it has never let me down, one down side would be lack of cup holders and placement of the ones it has but other than that i have never had a problem with this car

I had this car for 7 years and it was great. Never had any serious problems as long as you keep up with regular maintenance of the vehicle. Excellent family car or first car.

I've had my car for 1.5 years, bought it used with just over 100k on it. The fuel economy is great. It's not the best looking but it's reliable and gets me from A to B.

Great car. Very reliable. no issues. Very practical and fuel efficient. Drove it for 200k approx before trading it in. Watch out for rust though, really the only issue with it.

I haven't had too many problems with this car, but it's starting to get old and every year I have to repair or get some new parts. It also isn't the greatest car to use for teaching your oldest son to drive.

I purchased this car in 2006 and it is a 2002 model. Now my son has the car and although it is 10 years old it has been a very reliable car. It is great on gas and has never let us down. We have never had expensive car repairs for it so I definitely have no complaints. It is a reliable vehicle and they really seem to hold their value.

we have never had any issues except the general maintenance- oil changes twice a year, and just did the shocks, struts and brakes 2 yrs ago. it gets great gas mileage between 660 and 720 km per tank(50 ltr) no leaks and not an oil burner.

I have to admit I might not be the best to write a review about this car, nonetheless driving as a passenger in it for over 2 years is enough to give me a tadbit of an idea and an opinion about the Mazda Protege.

It is a very stable car, able to meet someone needs very well. It can also be a more than suitable first car due to its low market price, low fuel consumption and low maintenance costs.

this is my first car ive had it for 2 years. it runs fine, but nothing fantastic. parts are very expensive and not super easy to come by. the tire size is anything but standard, and expensive to purchase.

Great car to own and drive. It is extremely reliable and the 4 cylinder engine makes it very fuel efficient.
