Mazda Protege 2000Change

havent had any problems, almost 400k kilometers and still running strong, shifts well and stars in any weather no roblems at all.

This little car has been fantastic for our family. It has always been a reliable, economical car but we are now selling as our family as outgrown it..

I owned a '94 protege back in the day, and it was the best car I ever had. I drove it everywhere in Canada, and it never quit on me. It was a basic, 4 door, automatic sedan that I drove to the ground. My experience with Mazda proteges has been awesome. This protege is no exception, it drove well, was great on gas, and was well maintained. My fiancee was the second owner, and regularly serviced it at the same mechanic shop. I believe after some TLC, this car would be able to surpass 500,000 Kms easily. Anyone who knows cars knows, 'they don't make them like they used to.'

this has been a great, reliable car for me. It's not the nicest to look at, but the seats are comfy, my kids are comfy in the back, and not totally squished with their car seats and booster seats. The gas mileage is fantastic. I do love it.

I love the ride, the drivers side comfort, fuel economy, and the layout of the interior, everything is with in reach and user friendly, but I suffer from a great deal of physical problems and to be a passenger in the car is not something I can do for anything more then in town driving. It's mainly do to the placement of the arm rest which I require for support.
Over all, I would recommend the car and would definitely buy another if the opportunity arose.

Iv been driving my protege since august purchased for a very reasonable price, runs very well, down side of it being 12 years old there are a few rust spots near the bottom of the door and the rear quarter panels. Has great gas mileage fun to drive.

I have owned this car since 2008 and have used it everyday to go to work and to run errands. I have been very happy with it. It is very reliable. It is also very good on gas and runs well on the highway.
The ride is comfortable. The seats can be adjusted for maximum comfort. The windows are designed in a way that allows optimal visibility around the car and the side mirrors are adjustable. These features enhance safety too.
The size of the car is perfect. It allows for easier parallel parking. The trunk has plenty of space for transporting big items.
My first car was a Mazda Protege too. My husband also owns a Mazda minivan. We love the make...Zoom....Zoom...Zoom.

Overall, car is good value for the price. I got mine in silver, and it has started to rust. Oh well, I suppose that's normal for the conditions in the winter. Rust has started building near the door and door hinges. Fuel economy is okay, but likely does not compare to the new cars that are manufactured nowadays. Inside, it is nice and spacious, and gets the job done. Had no major problems with engine yet, but mileage on the car is not that high. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the purchase, and would consider buying mazda again

Always reliable easy to maintain. The best fuel economy I've ever seen in a car. 600 km per tank of gas & only $45 to fill.
Great car for long commutes or driving in the country but since its a manual transmission wouldn't be so great for driving in the city. Overall it's a wonderful vehicle for all seasons.

I own an old Mazda Protege 2000 with the Gold Trim, ya know, the really old car with the roll up windows? Even though this car is old, it sure is reliable.

I often set up flea markets around my area, so I use my car to transport my goods back and forth from the market and my home. You'll be surprised how many boxes of things you can pack into this little car.

For 5 years this car has served me well. I got me to where I needed to go, helped me establish my business, and gave me a great driving experience. This is no fancy car with all the newest high-tech features. But let me assure you, this car is probably the best you can get for $2000 or under.

I have owned my Mazda Protege for 7 months. It gets exceptional gas mileage and is a very comfortable riding vehicle.

I have really enjoyed owning and driving the 2000 Mazda protégé, the response time of the protégé is very fast and the car is very comfortable to drive in and it comes with air-conditioning and a am fm ratio that can save up to 15 of your favorite radio stations my Mazda have 141k kilometers and it drives as well as when I bout it.

Draw backs to the2000 Mazda protégé include the fact that it sometimes pulls to the side/ aliment issues and it takes time extra force to make the car speed up and Mazda’s are known for their rust.

i really enjoyed my car i got into a few minor accidents and it held up very well didnt damage the extior at all. it was a very nice ride out to the country and on high ways.

Very reliable car. Though nothing fancy, it's great car for commuting anf taking me around. Definately worth the dollars.

Bought this car in 2011 at 175000KM, well maintained. It is now at 205000km and it gave me no problem at all. Body corrosion needs treatment every year since soon out of factory.

The Mazda Pretege is the worse car that I ever bought and I will never buy another protege ever again. It kept breaking down and was in the shop almost every other month. Trouble with the wiring and altanator. This car is the worse lemon that I have experienced.

This car was always breaking down not very realible. This is the worse car I have ever bought. Will never buy a Protege again.

We owned a Mazda protege LX for 12 years. It was our second car, so when we eventually sold it, it only had 45,000 KMs! It didnt get everyday use, but it was an incredibly reliable, fuel efficient, low maintenance vehicle. It was relatively comfortable and easy to get around the city.
