Jeep Liberty 2003Change

I am currently driving my second Jeep Liberty. I love this style of jeep both for its practicality and its performance. I have never experienced an issue mechanically with this vehicle, though I do take it in for routine service regularly. I have taken a week long camping trip in it with 4 people in the vehicle, and all "equipment" in the rear. I have also had great experience driving in Calgary's winter conditions with the optional 4x4 (especially the part-time 4x4 feature). I have never been stuck in the snow with this baby and always feel safe driving. Would definitely recommend checking out a Jeep Liberty if you are on the market for a reliable, hearty SUV to tug through winter and take on road trips.

it's a money pit i am always repairing it....i would never ever buy another one of these vehicles not to mention the fuel economy is terrible

i have done nothing but repair this vehicle, it is a money pit....it has very poor fuel economy and is a very uncomfortable ride...i would never ever buy another one of these vehicles

is one of the best jeep in america and one of the most efficient until now .. great fun vehicle to have any season

I know its a 6 cyl suv but I just hate paying for gas I had this for a year not a long time but its been one of the best cars I had just got a to commute now so the fuel is not worth paying for

I purchased this Jeep after driving a Jeep TJ that just got a bit too small for my family. I loved the look of it and it drove beautifully. I didn't have to repair much over the years and have maintained it well. Still looks as it did when I bought it and has served me well.

There is plenty of space for hauling things and lots of leg room for passengers. The 4X4 got me out of jams in the winter and took me wherever I needed to go in any season. If I could keep two vehicles for myself I wouldn't sell it.

My needs changed over the years and have to down size so I am selling this fantastic vehicle.

It has never let me down, Its quite comfortable, easy to drive, is good on gas, the 4 wheel drive is really nice in winter.

Highly recommend this Jeep ... FUN to drive ... VERY safe in the winter thru snow and ice conditions ... great gas mileage, especially when highway driven.

I currently own a 2003 Liberty Limited. It is a great little SUV since I came from a Sunfire. Its a perfect size, easy to drive, park and has no problem pulling or over taking any vehicle. The 4x4 is great in the winter and got me out of some messes. Its reliable SUV. My only complaint is the gas miliage, don't be fooled by size, the 3.7 is thirsty and as a student, all my paycheques go there. about $30-40 from half and $60-80 from a 1/4 or less. Its a great SUV, I love mine, I have everything but leather so I love it. The one thing you have the be aware of is if you buy a 2002-2004 model THE ROCKER PANELS WILL RUST. I have a huge hole that goes from the back to the middle of the SUV, RUST PROOF. Other than that, great SUV and I would recommend it to anyone. LOVE MY JEEP!

I bought my 2003 Liberty used, over 3 years ago, for an amazing deal because of high mileage and I have not been disappointed.

Currently it has over 410,000 km, many of which were put on by the previous owner but you would never know. Everytime I take it for an oil change the oil change peeps are all like 'Whhaaaaa, this is in amazing shape" - and I can't brag and say I take exceptional good care of it either. I take 'alright' care of it and it's still exceeding my expectations.

The only repair I have done is replaced the alternator, which only cost a few hundred dollars.

It pains me to say anything bad about my Liberty - but I must report severe rusting on the rockers and tailgate. When I walk through the neighbourhood I notice rusting in the exact same spots on similar year vehicles.

My goal is to drive this to 450,000 km and retire her in scrap metal heaven!

Overall, it was a so so purchase. I enjoyed the esthetics of the JEEP ever since I was a young boy but I wouldn't purchase a new one due to the reliability issues I've had.

My wife loved this car. Always felt safe through rough weather conditions, always plowing through. Good for ferrying the kiddies around town.

I have had this jeep for 9 years and have not had any major repairs. I maintain my jeep well and with that extra care it has been very reliable.

Lovee the jeep wounderful family vehical ! :) gets you where you want to go an when you want too go love the jeep would perfer a jeep over any other brand now ! an its just the perfect size ! plus 4X4 is AMAZING !

I have had it for about 6 months now, although the fuel economy isn't over the top great...it is a nice tough vehicle off road, and the higher clearance is always helpful.

Love this vehical . its not the best on gas but honestly when your traveling along ways it gets the job done . and the 4X4 helps alot in the canadian winters !

If you like to play in the mud and love a comfortable ride then a Jeep Liberty is your ticket! I would have never thought that a suv that looked like it was built for luxury could run with the big boys! Boy was I wrong! My husband took me out to go "muddin'" and I was thinking he had lost his marbles ... but boy did we have fun! Best part, I did it all in comfort and kept myself clean and dry to boot! I can't say that about the outside of the Jeep, but a little water and elbow grease and it looked brand spanking new once again. The Jeep Liberty is a fantastic SUV that can fit every member of your family's needs from muddin' to taking to you to the $1000 a plate dinner in style and comfort! Check one out today ... you might just get a surprise and find out what you have been missing out on!

If you need a small SUV that does the work of a large SUV then you should check out the Jeep Liberty. We purchased our Jeep Liberty in 2003 and have not regretted it. I was a little skeptical since we already owned a Grand Cherokee that this little SUV would not live up to our needs. Boy was I wrong! This vehicle can hang with the big boys! The cargo space looks small but don't let the looks fool you. I have hauled around hockey bags, camping equipment, groceries galore and I have never found that I didn't have enough space. Check out a Liberty and see if your impression of this smaller SUV doesn't change your mind, it did mine! P.S. It's still going strong and rides like the day we got it too!

I just picked up this Jeep a month ago and so far I love it. It's a smooth ride. We had a bit of trouble when we first got it with the engine light coming on. You can turn the key back and forth 3 times and the problem number will show up. Nice feature.

bought it 6 months ago and absolutely love it first ride and wont get another for a very long time it drives nice turns very easy not a loud vehicle eitherr

Had the pleasure to drive the liberty for 2 years. Sadly I had to let it go, great truck for winter days but also great for the days to the beach. Loads of room for the kids and comfortable all around. All and all , I give this truck a 5 star review. A must have if you are looking into a 4X4. 2003-2005 are built even stronger then the new ones.

A very good 4X4 that will go just about anywhere. 3.7L engine is good with decent power and excellent towing capacity for its size. Pretty comfortable in the front buckets but rear seats are only OK for adults. Only had to do regular maintenance for 10 years and no repairs so would say its very reliable. The rear seats do not fold completely flat which is annoying and the rear cargo space is small which is why interior design category is low.

I've owned this jeep since 2008 and I haven't had any issues or problems at all. I followed the maintenance schedule faithfully and kept it spotless. I highway commuted for just over a year and never had mechanical concerns I am confident driving a jeep product. The new winter tires included in the deal are EXCELLENT what a difference winter tread makes. This Jeep once seen will sell quickly and you won"t believe its a 2003 because of the immaculate condition I have kept it in!!!

This is my wife's Jeep but she really loves it, I do too. This thing can go anywhere. It's got true 4x4 and in the winter you really feel safe and won't have to worry you'll get stranded.

I'm not a big fun of the round headlight but I guess it works well with the overall design.

This is a SOLID truck, you can feel how stiff the whole thing is when you drive it, almost no flex at all.

The fuel efficiency could be better but hey, it's a Jeep.

We bought it used in 2006 and had almost now problems with it.

Very reliable and fun to drive. The steering is fantastic, you can turn on a dime, I always take the Liberty when we go (grocery) shopping, you barely have to maneuver to get in or out of a parking spot and the truck is high and big enough to put stuff in without effort.
