Volkswagen Jetta 2003Change

I have had my car since new, it has been a great little car. I have has little over 400,000 km, and still runs like the day I got it. The only money I have put in it is the timing belts and maintaince. and new tires, I drove my car from Vancouver Island to Red Deer Alberta on a tank of fuel. I would never own a car that was not a volkswagon.

No major concerns with this car. Very clean through out. New windshield installed November 17, 2016. All maintenance performed is documented and available to the buyer.

My second Jetta GLS 1.8T (I love this car). The 2003 model increased to 180HP, and it is a perfect balance of speed, agility, and fuel economy.

Comfortable leather interior (fully loaded) and sporty exterior makes this car one that I have been proud to own and drive. German engineering never fails to impress, and it has fully satisfied me in this great car.

I was lucky enough to purchase this car from a family that owned 4 professional mechanic garages - it was only given the best care and attention, and it has treated me equally well (in 3 years of driving, the engine has needed almost NO work).

Some would say doing this is biased, but it's all true.

Performs exactly how a Jetta should (average). It's not a sports car, but it's reliable and has good fuel economy.

This car is a wolf in sheep's clothing. other VW owners will tell you this. I fell in love with Volkswagens because of this car. The 2003 Jetta 1.8T is a FAST car. my friends who have driven my car are shocked, when the turbo spools up, man this thing PULLS. additionally, she is pretty amazing on gas. my car has always been pretty good to me. The only thing I can say bad, as ANYONE will say, is VW maintenance can be expensive at times. VW and audi like to make is very very hard for you to do things yourself, and as a result you end of taking it to a vw or audi dealership, or a euro mechanic. Even simple things that anyone should be allowed doing themselves, cant always be done because its so advanced or need special tools. Other then that. I love love love this vehicle.

I have had one of these for 11 years and if I hadn't moved to the country and needed a pickup truck I would still be driving it. The interior is comfortable on long haul travels, steering wheel controls convenient, and the fuel efficiency and reliability unbelievable.

This vehicle is fast off the line and it doesn't stop there.
It has 17" Alloys with low profile Michelins for cornering ability.
The vehicle had no modification it's all perfect VW engineering.

It gets great fuel economy and takes regular gas.

Super reliable car. bought this car new in October 2002. It now has 280000kms. OEM Brakes lasted 100000KMs.Things that broke are air conditioning compressor at 255000KMS Alternator bearing at 200000kms and the passenger seat heater at 270000kms.
Not bad for a great driving super economical car. It still looks great, no rust and the interior is like new! just awesome!

its a super fun vehicle to drive, I drive the 1.8T Manual transmission. Its not the most reliable vehicle in the world but I can't complain. I have more than 200K on it and it drives great. I prefer my jetta to a new one. more power good millage. tons of fun. I have spent some money on my suspension and that's the only problem I had. I drive it hard so far so good.

I've had it at the peak repair time, right around 200,000 kms so all major repairs have been done as well as regular maintenance at Tune Dub for which I have all documentation. Does great in the winter and I have never had any troubles starting it on cold mornings. The inside has had a little wear and the key fob doesn't have anything to attach to a keychain but the spare works great!

After reading reviews of fuel economy and vehicle longevity I purchased a 2003 Jetta TDI, with 220,000 km on it, and supposedly solid maintenance record confirmed by VW dealer. Over $3000.00 has already been spent on problems such as heavy diesel fumes inside cabin due to faulty turbo, replaced heater, replaced starter, fuel guage broke, timing belt replacement kit, fender rusted completely through, and more. The automatic transmission is now shot at 234,000 km with a quote of $4000.00 to rebuild. This car is GARBAGE and I will never buy a VW product again!

Great on Gas, amazing stability, joy to drive. Very smooth, great standard safety feature in German car technology. all car features/function are working perfectly. used occasionally by my wife. I'm second owner.

Of all the cars I have owned, this is my favorite. It has lots of acceleration, is very fuel efficient and reliable, and looks good too.

Car has been well maintained. New front fenders, hood and drivers door replaced by VW thru rust warranty. 2 new tires (2 other low mileage). After market mag rims. Comes with snow rims that need 2 tires for coming winter. After market tinted windows. Interior in great condition clean (non smoker also). Car has lots of year ahead of it. If you know about Jetta diesel TDI's you must see this one. I have another car so looking to sell this one, but this is not a must sell. Have a look!!!

If you want the handling and speed of a sports car but the room of a 4 door, without looking like a granny car, this is the car for you! The 5 speed standard transmission 1.8 turbo is so much fun to drive, you have to be careful not to get any speeding tickets, I find myself speeding all the time! Great looks, fuel economy, & performance all packed into 1 little car... it's true, great things come in small packages!

My VW Jetta gls 1.8T is a nice car, driving it in highway let you have a satisfied stable and safety feels. Its inside decoration is also let me satisfied, leather chair, electric motor window, with top window, electric heating for front chairs, and so on. However, it consumes a little bit more of gas now, but it depends on how you drive it. It starts slow and let people have time to make action. Once it runs faster, it become a skilled car, easy operation easy and accurate control. I drive it for two years, It ever had some problems due to too old, however after fixing it, it becomes good again. I like the car's shape, it has a good looking, elegance, a little bit higher back, tight car body, totally I'm really satisfied with its appearance. I didn't drive 2013 new VW Jetta, but I look at them and see they havn't much changes comparing my old model.

I get one thousand kilometeres on a tank of gas, not many car owners can say that. Car is very reliable and comfortable to drive.

Has been flawless for us. I've had it for 3 years and have only had to do the usual maintenance things. between fuel and repairs, this car only costs approximately $2000 per year. Good luck finding another car to do that for you!

Hi I own a 2003 1.8t Jetta its a really nice car...comfortable and has lots of power for a 1.8 motor with turbo..great on gas...quiet engine and sound proof interior...great on snow ...its a solid car... definitly a good buy.

Loved it the moment I test drove it. Great car. Powerful, fuel efficient, stylish, reliable. Comfortable for long haul driving. Love the standard features-- especially heated seats and side mirrors in winter! I'd buy it all over again if I could.

In the beginning I really did not like the styling of Jetta. It seemed right out of coloring books for kids. Straight lines and non-organic exterior were really off putting. But once you are behind the wheel, the things change. The car handles very well for what I paid and gets a really good mileage. The problem I had in last copule of years was burnt starter motor. Other than that, it is as reliable as universe!

i love my jetta. it's fuel efficient. it's classy looking. its reliable. It suits my needs and is a great little car for getting around the city.

I own one right now,and I have to say it is the best car I've ever owned.I love the big car smooth ride,in a smaller car.I also like the antennae,and the signals on the side.Needs a little more cubby space for belongings though.Beautiful looking car.
