The LX is Lexus’s largest SUV model, a full-size, three-row vehicle that shares its underpinnings with the Toyota Land Cruiser model that’s sold in other markets.
What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year
For 2022, the LX is all new, following a redesign into its fourth generation.
Lexus offers this big truck in a single trim called LX 600, which can be augmented by a selection of option packages, which we’ve detailed below. Power is from a 3.5L twin-turbo V6 engine, a 10-speed transmission, and four-wheel drive.
The LX 600 comes with an adaptive variable suspension, passive keyless entry, a hands-free tailgate, LED headlights with washers, a front wiper de-icer, and 20-inch wheels. Inside, you get wireless phone charging, 10-speaker audio, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, heated/ventilated front seats, power-adjustable front seats, a heated steering wheel with electric adjustments, an auto-dimming mirror, and a power sunroof.
The standard safety package comprises surround-view cameras, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert and braking, rain-sensing wipers, a multi terrain view monitor, radar cruise control, automatic high beams, lane tracing assist, lane departure alert, and forward collision mitigation.
An F Sport Series 1 package adds upgraded leather seats, 22-inch wheels, a 25-speaker stereo, ventilated second-row seats, and a rear manual sun shade.
A luxury package builds on that with a head-up display, a digital rearview mirror, a wood-trimmed steering wheel, easy-close rear doors, hydraulic suspension, third-row USB ports, and a rear-seat entertainment system.
Finally, an executive VIP package adds four-zone A/C, wood door trim, rear-seat massage and power adjustments, rear-seat wireless charging, and upgraded front seats. This option also eliminates the third-row seat.
Lexus’s fuel consumption estimates for the LX 600 are 14.2/10.8 L/100 km (city/highway).
With the LX 600, Lexus competes with the Cadillac Escalade, Lincoln Navigator, Infiniti QX80, Land Rover Range Rover, Mercedes-Benz GLS, Audi Q7, and BMW X7.
