Issue: On certain vehicles, the lock nuts for the rear trailing arm bolts may be defective. If a nut breaks, there could be sudden changes in rear wheel alignment. This can cause a loss of vehicle stability. Safety Risk: Reduced vehicle stability could cause a loss of control and increase the risk of a crash. Issue: On certain vehicles, the connector for the engine control module may be missing a sealing pin. As a result, moisture could enter the connector and cause the engine light to turn on and the engine to go in "fail-safe mode". This could also cause the engine to stall while driving. Safety Risk: A loss of engine power could increase the risk of a crash. Corrective Actions: Audi will notify owners by mail and instruct you to take your vehicle to a dealer inspect the connector for the engine control unit and install the sealing pin, if necessary.
