2014 Toyota Tundra

Trim: SR5 CrewMax - 5.7 V8 - 4X4
by TallViking on 10-16-2015
The virtual Lexus of full-sized pickup trucks. Designed and built in the USA.
I've owned a multitude of current, full-sized, North American built pickup trucks (F150, F250, Ram, Silverado) and can safely say that the 2014 Tundra SR5 CrewMax 4x4 with the 5.7 V8 is the best of the lot. In real world driving, no other truck has shown a better combination of strength, durability, efficiency, drivability, reliability and all-day comfort that the Tundra has. The SR5+ cloth interior is tastefully stylish and comfortable. I added high quality, aftermarket seat heaters to take the edge off cold winter mornings (the factory seat heaters in the up-level models are very slow to warm). Best to forgo the stiff, unforgiving ride of the TRD package and go with the well-controlled, standard suspension package. Swapping-out the original equipment Bridgestone Dueler highway all-season tires for Michelin LTX A/S Highway All-Season tires has tremendously improved the ride, handling and traction of my truck. While the traditional Big-3 have their virtues, the Tundra best hits the sweet spot - and it also has the highest USA content. Do your research: Ford, GM and Ram qualify as being made-in-America only by the skin of their teeth. Toyota may be a Japanese nameplate, but the Tundra has the highest North American content -- and that's the icing on the cake.

2014 Toyota Tundra

Trim: 1794
by Tundra1794 on 08-21-2015
1794 edition very disappointing
I have 2 Tundra, 1 work truck bought 2013 and 1 the new model 1794 Edition. I would not recommend another Toyota truck to anybody.
I know you dont buy trucks for fuel efficiency however you need to have your own fuel station, taking it easy, no hauling (average 14.2mpg!!, tank range 270miles, pathetic), I have had for just over 1 year, has 58k, leather seats are peeling, (not covered under warranty as I shud have put on leather conditioner, which I did!) Info screen keeps going blank, Toyota cant fix, don't know why this happens, look at me as if I'm lying.
ECP is absolute waste of money, it does nothing except cover your oil changes! ($4,000)
Far better get F150 or Ram diesel, cheaper, better warranty and service, MPG.
Toyota may aswell give up with trucks if they cant stand by them
