GREAT CAR!!
I really love the Rondo. its great on fuel, and its perfect for city and why driving which is something I do a lot of. The Front window is large and has great visibility, also the inside has plenty of room for anything I need weather its taking the family somewhere or loading my bike into it. The rack mount ontop also makes it extremely handy for when I want to take my kyak somewhere.

Great Car 5 Stars!
I really found this car to be perfect for all my needs. It is spacious with enough room for an entire family but still small enough that the car is easy to manoeuvre, i really enjoyed the fact that the car was both great for city and long distance driving. It is a car with a great gas to mileage ratio. It is the perfect car for both the family and/or a new driver looking for a used car that is still in excellent condition with no scratches or dents. I would definitely recommend this car.

2011 Kia Rondo

Very poor fuel economy
I bought this car prior to giving birth, and we were looking for a car with good fuel economy. We chose this model as the sales person said it would meet the needs of our family, and give us the fuel economy we wanted. Boy were we wrong. We were told that the poor gas mileage was due to our driving habits, to the fact that we live in Vancouver, and Vancouver has a lot of hills. We have left messages with the customer service line, and the gas line, and have never gotten any answer back. We were told to wait until we hit 6000 km, at which point the gas mileage would get better - it has not.

2011 Kia Rondo

Nice little car to drive, but a gas guzzler
The Kia Rondo is a versitile little car - a good sized little car - but quite hard on gas, especially if you choose a V6 engine.
If you are in the driver's seat and the front passanger seat, it's fairly comfortable and roomy, but cold on the feet in winter. Very cold. Warm air doesn't reach down that way very well.
But a bonus for the Kia - the heated front seats which come standard equipment.
The cup holders in front are terribly designed. Badly placed and the holders themselves do not hold cups well at all.
The bluetooth quality is terrible and the Kia Rondo does not offer voice activation, a real downside considering the law against using handheld cell phones.
Riding in the back is okay if you are skinny. The Rondo is marketed as a 5-seater, but they must mean 3 children in the back, or maybe very tiny adults. The temperature control for the rear area is also quite inadequate.
In terms of the exterior, the body trim looks fine, but I found the paint on my car started to look washed out even before the first year was up.
The standard windshield washer blades don't do a very good job, especially in snow or freezing rain - they ice up quickly and even the top blower speed on the window fan cannot keep them working well. It takes no time at all for the wind screen to be hard to see through.
With the rear seats folded down, there is a lot of useable space in the back. This is a handy feature, as is the split bench seats.
Would I buy another Rondo? Truthfully, I'd have to give that some pretty serious thought. Without some real improvements to the vehicle, I'd say no. If Kia were to address some of the concerns I mentioned, then I would say definitely yes.

True story.
In the summer of 2011 my family and I drove across Canada, from Ottawa, Ontario to Comox, British Columbia. This trip was incredible for some odd reasons and the Rondo performed as advertised and then some. First, 4 adults (including Grandma {age 72}) and 3 teens would make the trip. Needless to say the people went inside the Rondo and all the luggage went on top. We had had the Rondo for only a few weeks. We arrived in Comox on Vancouver Island a week later for my family reunion at my fathers' home. Having left there years before due to work, I had left an Airplane and Canoe in storage at my dad's. A trailer was constructed, the Aircraft disassembled and with the Canoe, all were loaded on the trailer and wrapped up for the return trip home. My concerns going across the country were about the power available to the Rondo. It being full to capacity with people and luggage and then we were adding a trailer, that while not particularly heavy, when loaded, was 3 feet taller than the Rondo and over 17ft long. Coming back through the Rockie Mountains and over the Prairies the trailer tracked true and was more than up to the challenge power wise. We able to safely travel at highway speeds and the Rondo never gave us any problems. The comments by people seeing us on this trip were always positive and requests for information about the Rondo happened every time we stopped. Over 10,000 Km (approx 6,000miles) on that trip alone and it is still running like a top.

Rock the Rondo
This car is an awesome urban utility vehicle.
The 3 row seating is a great option with a larger family.
Very fun to drive.

It's not a Minivan
Being pregnant with my daughter, I refused to be a "Soccer Mom" driving a minivan. While vans have come a long way as far as comfort and styling, I still did not want to go down that route.

The Kia Rondo is a good compromise and being a 7 seater, we can bring either lots of friends, or lots of baby gear. The fuel economy is not what was stated when purchasing the vehicle which is disappointing.
