Honda Civic 2006Change

I had this car for 2 years and loved it. We drove it mostly on the hwy out in the country where we live. It survived the tough Canadian winters with no problem. Never had trouble starting on the coldest days. Only things we did for it was take it in for reg. maintenance and oil changes/tire rotations. Put 80,000 miles on it w/no problems.. Very safe, reliable car with great gas mileage. We averaged 40 mpg year round, w/ mostly highway miles. Could be roomier, but is surprisingly roomy for such a small car. However, it is light and can blow around a bit in strong winds.

I usually don't keep a car for more than 5 years because that's when problems usually start happening. I've had this one for more than 6 years. The car's had regular oil changes, tire rotations and recently it's first tune up. That's it; nothing else has been required. I've driven from Vancouver to Portland at least once each year I've owned it along with 2 trips to Las Vegas and one to Reno. It's great on gas, both in the city and on the highway. It has enough power to pass the slow pokes and to get me a speeding ticket each time I've gone to Vegas and Reno. This little Honda has plenty of room for groceries and girls weekend outlet shopping trips to week and a half long road trips to sin city. The style is quite conservative so I've supped it up with some low profile tires and fancy rims. I would consider getting another Honda Civic in the future if I was in the market for a compact 4 door vehicle.

The car is a tad low to the ground, making it tough for tall people to get in and out of, we may have just had some bad luck, but this little car has been through a surprising amount of bashes and bumps.

Then again, I can get by 1 week on about 20 litres of gas

No problems with the car for more than 5 years. Gas mileage not that hot, though. Mostly used for city driving, and I'm getting approximately 400-450 km on a full tank. Doesn't really accelerate very well.

I've never had a lick of trouble in the 7 years I've owned my civic. It's reliable, good on gas and comfortable.

If I need to carry any cargo, I can put the back seat down and have a lot of room for groceries, boxes, or whatever. It's great when I go camping!

Had this car for about two years now, and haven't had a single problem with it. Everything from the inside to the outside is wonderfully designed, and the digital spedometer is just an added bonus. Not to mention the car is great on gas and takes about 45$ to fill up at 1.30$ a litre here in Ontario.

When I was purchasing a car, the selection was narrowed down to a Toyota Corolla or Honda Civic. I picked the Honda based on the great exterior and interior styling. The digital display with blue back lighting looks fantastic and the car is an absolute delight to drive at night. The exterior is much more stylish than anything the competition has to offer. The engine was excellent and never caused any problems. The vehicle I owned was sold at the odometer rating of 270,000 km and sold reasonably well based on good maintenance. I would definitely buy this vehicle again if its in good condition.

Always reliable and well built as long as you maintain it. Honda's will last forever with the proper care. Great family vehicle as it provides easy access to back seat for a car set and lots of trunk space to put all the toys and clothes in

We purchased this car pre-owned and have been happy with it. I give the car full marks as its been a good car to us. We haven't had any problems with it so far.

The Honda Civic is a reliable car. It performs well, is comfortable and looks good too. We've kept up regular maintenance and haven't had any problems with it.

I bought this car two years ago and she is still great. I am a home care worker and do at least 200km/ wk. it's wearing on the car but she's still running great. Not fond of how easily things pop out of place cosmetically but if you want a reliable ride, it's very good.

The interior looks good and its reliable. Ive drivven to many places outside of town and has never given me troubles.
The redesign is a hit in my opinion. The outer shell looks very futuristic but in a very real-life sort of way and not to mention, good looking. When you buy a 2006 Civic, you are not getting a regular car. It is completely different than the previous generations, however it is still faithfully a Civic. The styling reminds me of Chrysler's cab-forward effort from the early 90s. Honda though, got it right. The car is sleek and the coupe is even hotter, especially in Si trim.

All I can say so far since I've owned it is one word... Awsome! Even with so many miles on it I've had zero major problems with it. Only minor problem so far was I had to replace the cowling along the base of the winshield due to the passenger side became unclipped and interfered with wiper arm operation. Bought and installed the part myself and problem gone. Also part of the plastic handle on the ebrake is coming lose but still works just fine. It's my first Civic, but I've always driven Hondas cause of their long history of durability. Way to go Honda!! Keep bringing us the good cars we love!!

I bought this used in 2007 with 38,000 KM on it and it now has over 220,000 KM on it and I've not had to do anything more than normal maintenance, such as oil changes belt replacements etc. This was my first Honda and I'd definitely buy another one.

We have been very happy with our Honda and would consider buying another Honda, when we need a new car. It has been reliable. We do keep up to date with regular maintenance at the Honda Dealership.

Honda Civic has always been known as a reliable car and it lives up to its potential. I love the interior of the car, as it is innovative and very modern. The car is sporty looking and in my opinion a lot better than the previous generations.

The only major problem i have with this car is.. the wiper blade for this generation can only be purchased from honda. I made the mistake of trying to replace the blade myself and ended up the clip from honda costs over 56 dollars each side. furthermore, all walmarts and costcos will NOT touch your wiperblades because they know if this issue. That to me does not make sense.

Other than that, it is what you expect from a civic. Not luxury by any means... just economic "sportiness".

I bought this car in 2009 and it has done me so well. It was very cheap when I bought it and I have never looked back. It's very stylish looking for a car at such a low price, and it is reliable as well. Honda makes great cars and will definitely look into their cars in the future if the opportunity arises.

The honda civic, is an amazing, life changing car. It is very flexible and easy to work with. It is a beautiful beginner car. This was my first car. I bought it in 2007, and i've kept it since then. It is perfect for me and my family. Im in love with it, and so is everyone else !

Bought this car new in '06 and it's still going strong. This is by far the best car I have ever owned, and will continue to drive a Honda in the future.

I purchased my car used and it runs beautifully. The battery has had to be replaced. But other than that it works great. Slight blind spot at the front of the car but easy to get used to checking around the area.

For the most part my Honda Civic Coupe has been reliable. My only regret regarding the purchase of this car was the coupe option. Although it looks great, it makes simple errands much more time consuming and difficult. Though this allows the vehicle to be much more compact, it also increases the blind spots. Overall, great car. However, I would suggest choosing the sedan version.
