2008 Jeep Wrangler

Trim: Sahara

The legendary Jeep
The Jeep is a vehicle with a very particular style. Over the years, the Jeep has kept many of it's classic features all while adding a little modern flare, a better suspension, more comfort and other little things. A Jeep is still a Jeep. You are not buying this vehicle for comfort! The ride is rough and the short wheel base makes for easy bouncing around on the roads. Because of it's square shape, it plows into the wind making gas mileage a constant battle for such a small vehicle. Although great for trails and some heavy duty work, the overall performance is nothing to brag about. The interior is nicely finished, but the quality is poor on the inside and the outside. Having had one until recently myself, and having maintained it immaculately and storing it winters, I still had signs of rust on some of the interior components and had to get the exterior door hinges refinished once... All while under 30 000 km. Although I loved the look and the option to take off the top, I do not regret my decision of selling it. It was a great toy, but difficult to keep looking it's best.

2001 Honda Civic

Trim: Coupe

Honda Civic - They just keep going and going!
The Honda Civic is by far one of the best "bangs for it's buck". Reliability, fuel economy, style.. it has it all! Although a small car, it is perfect for the single person, a couple or a small family. When you spend a lot of time on the road, the great gas mileage is a definit bonus. Very simple in it's interior features but less possibilities of things breaking. The Honda engine definitely lives up to it's name. Having over 270 000 km and having been driven in all sorts of conditions but well maintained, my 2001 civic has no rust yet and has never encountered any major problems. A car that I definitely recommend! I would purchase another Honda Civic without hesitation.

2005 Ford Five Hundred

by northern_AL on 10-26-2012
Ford Five Hundred - A good buy?
The 2005 Ford Five Hundrer is a very spacious and very comfortable vehicle. The trunk space is amongst the best I've seen in a family sadan... Plenty of room for all your stuff! The back seat offers a lot of leg room for the passengers and allows comfort for all travelers. For such a large car, the gas mileage is average but worth the compromise. It's weight and AWD option make it a very good car in the winter that carries itself quite well. With the Five Hundred, you can get very good acceleration when you put the pedal to the floor. No problems passing on the highway. Where the Five Hundred lacks is in it's exterior design. For a car that offers so much, it lacks a lot of style. Very plain looking. Also, as many domestic cars, it didn't take long for the paint at the bottom of the doors or around the wheel wells to start flaking and peeling.

Overall, a very good car. At 295 000 km, I still enjoy mine!
