Toyota Matrix 1999-2013Change

We've taken this vehicle on many trips to the east coast and have never had issues. It's a great drive with lots of storage and fuel efficient.

This is the 2nd Matrix that we own. Are downsizing "the fleet" to one vehicle. Very comfortable to drive and I love the convenience of the hatchback.

Absolutely no trouble with the car! All i did was service whenever i was told to and gas every week and half! Family is growing so got to step up !

This has been an amazing car. We are only selling to downsize to one car. Toyotas last 15-20 years. Car has never stalled and has never not turned over. It has been a gem to own and best car we have ever had.

Had this car for 3 years, bought it with 74,000km and now has 141,000km on it. Other than road noise I really have nothing to complain about. It gets great fuel milage and has not given me any issues other than wear and tear(tires&oil&breaks etc). I haul 2 dogs around with ease, seats folding flat is great. I would recommend to anyone looking at this car to give it a serious look.

This car handle really well and have the best fuel economy i ever seen on a car. Surprisingly it have good power with that new technology 1.8 L engine and also this car have so much room in the back it is almost like an SUV. Super reliable all.

My Mom bought the car new from a local TOYOTA dealer and it has been the model of Toyota reliability.

High performance ,good on gas,number one reabillity ,bit noisy on highway,Iwas driving the car for8 years ,did not replaced anything on it,except consumabille .

Bought new, love the hatchback! Perfect space for my dog. Comfortable ride, lots of room in back seat and trunk. Good on gas.

If you had asked me a year ago what I rated this car I would have given it a 5/5. This year however, I took it in for the regular maintenance and was told it was very low on oil. After doing an oil consumption report through the dealership they told me I am losing about a 1/2 litre of oil every 2,000 kms. This means I will lose approximately 2 Litres of oil for every time I have my oil changed. This is not an acceptable amount of oil being burned. The car itself has a technical service bulletin out on it for this oil consumption problem. I have contacted Toyota Canada about the warranty repair and they are not willing to do anything because according to them a 1/2 litre per 2,0000 km's is an acceptable amount. They only do the warranty repair once it reaches a full litre per 2,000 kms. I am close to my warranty expiring (4 months, or 3,000 more km's) and then I am SOL. I will never buy Toyota again, and I urge anyone reading this to not buy this year of a Matrix at the very least. I have lost all faith in the durability and reliability of Toyota's and I hope I can help someone else choose a different make of car by spreading the word.

This car is great on fuel and very reliable, couldn't ask for a better compact car only wish it had more room for my growing family! Otherwise we would keep it forever.

It is very versatile as it has a large cargo area when the back seats are folded down. The front passenger seat also folds down for long items. We have travelled across Canada with it, even put a rack on the top and a bike rack on it for holidays. It has been very reliable not needed any major repairs since we bought it new in 2007.

For a small car, this car packs a punch.
Fully loaded with people, I can still pass on the highway, NO PROBLEM!

For the year that I have had it, I have loved every ride with it! I think it has a nice look (inside and out - especially the nautical, dark blue/purple colour), drives smoothly, has never caused me any trouble, started every day in the winter (without needing to be plugged in), and has kept me safe throughout all of my travels between cities.

Even though it looks like a small car, this hatchback has offered me plenty of space in the trunk (even more when the back seats are down) and has made every commute fun. The car is easy to handle and has never been in an accident. It is in mint condition.

I hope that it can go to a good home someday.

I love matrix's smooth ride in the city, though it seems like it's a bit under powered on the highway. I usually spend 50 bucks on a full tank gas, this car for sure saves a lot of money!

This car is the sports version of corolla (my prev. vehicle), and I know it will definitely last for another 10 years!

My experience with this car has been awesome. I just love the new coupe like styling, the awesome sounding JBL audio system with streaming Bluetooth and Ipod connectivity, the 18" rims which give this car a unique yet sporty look, and the suv and minivan like utility. This car will not disappoint. Plus, you get Toyota reliability and functionality with style, substance, and fun. My only gripe is that I wished this car came with a Turbo. Maybe Toyota will come out with a Turbo version of the Matrix in the near future; that would be awesome.

When I get in each day to commute to work, I actually love the drive. The enhanced sound system with integrated iPod controls make it very easy to select playlists from the radio screen without having to look down. I smile when the gas prices go up because I know how good it is on gas and I'm glad I'm not driving a van or SUV gas guzzler!

Reliable beyond belief, AWD makes it great in the winter, fuel economy outstanding. This car drives today like it did when it was new. Toyota quality shines through in this car tough and dependable transportation.

Toyota Matrix has a Corolla engine that lasts forever. You can't buy a better lasting car with never a problem. You will save a lot in maintenence and repairs.

I love this car, plenty of room, awesome gas miieage, just plain practical in every way, I can jam a ton of stuff in my car,
my daughter moved her whole apartment in hers.

My 2 favorite features are the fuel economy, and the seats, the seat height and bolstering are perfect for my back, other vehicles have caused me great pain.

The only bad thing is the car is under-powered for the highway, but awesome for city driving.

Drove this car back and forth from Montreal to Petawawa, Ont. almost every weekend for the last few years. Always been reliable. The summer tires are original and must be changed, the winter tires are still good. I also have a bike rack for the car. Car is very smooth.

This car is great on fuel, looks terrific and has the Toyota reliability. Money well spent. Purchased used with only 30,000 km on it from Maple Toyota.
The ride is a bit rough, but livable. My last 4 cars have been Toyota's, you just can't beat them.

This car has given us everything we need. With a roomy interior, space for car seats and kids stuff as well as the ability to pull a small trailer, this car is fantastic. Not to mention it's great on gas!

Have never had a problem with the car, however, it can get uncomfortable on drives longer than 4 hours. I has a lot of space in the hatch, great on gas, and did I mention that it"s cute?
