Through horrible snows, rough rains, and hard winds this car as rode on ! Heated seats in the winter keep things toasty and the back seats easily flip down which makes a drive n theatre all the more fun.
Easy access hatch back with a privacy shield is convenient and secure. The back seats also easily fit 3 kids.
Great family car or single person adventure ride.

This car has been perfect for my family and I. We've never had any issue with it, mechanical or otherwise. It has plenty of power, great visibility, it is very comfortable, and offers a great driving experience. In the winter, it is king of the road.

I will definitely buy another Forester in the future.

I have nothing but good to say about the car. It's a nice ride. Good on gas and I love the huge sunroof. I liked that I had free satellite radio with over 50 channels. Easy to reverse park, even in small spaces. Holds my three kids comfortably in the back seat. A smooth ride.

This has been a really good SUV love the GPS system. Rides smooth and travels well. Has anti skid protection. We are down sizing. I have always been impressed with Subaru's safety features.

The car is great on gas and easy to drive, I really like this car very much and would recommend it to anyone looking to get a SUV but not have to worry about the amount of gas used. The all wheel drive is superb. A great drive overall.

We owned the Suby for 6yrs drove it 118,000 km.,bought it new in Victoria,BCLiked the four wheel drive performance in winter and on back roads and ski hills.Limited room for adults in back seat.Relible transportation.Wife liked it very much.(Just the perfect size,easy to park).The cabin was cozy.Dealer service was very good,but rather on the dear side for regular maintanence. Had a few problems with engine sensors just after the warranty expired.

I am on the threshold of surpassing 400,000km, the odometer is currently at 399,956, and it is still going strong. I affectionately call it the tank. It has been without a doubt the most reliable car I have ever had. In 400,000km I have done very little unscheduled maintenance, a battery, two front brakes and three wheel bearings. I would highly recommend this car to anyone and everyone.

The only "complaint" I have with my 2003 is fuel consumption, it averages just under 10L/100km. That's not terrible for a full time AWD vehicle but in newer models they altered the gearing aspect and achieved better fuel mileage.

A great small SUV for anyone that wants the praticality of an SUV but the performace of a sports car. Reliability is a given in a Subaru.

Comfortable ride, powerful engine, cabin is good.

The front seat is a little bit low. The passenger seats are also low.

The mileage is fair.

It has standard all-wheel drive. Its cabin is space, which makes comfortable rides. Most of all, it has excellent safety performance.

I have driven long distances and this car holds its own. Wether its children pets or nature this car does it all, i an very impressed with what subaru did. Strongly recomend it!!!!

works and drives very well in winter like conditions,all wheel drive is excellent.that's why i choose this car all very roomy safety as well good on gas mileage, nice vehicle for a small family i say.

Super annoying back middle seat belt and also the vehicle makes a lot of annoying and seemingly unnecessary beeping noises. Esthetically its hideous!

It does feel as though it hugs the road so that is an upside and it's a smooth ride.

Owned the car for 6 months now and the only thing that needed to be done to it was a replacement of a faulty radio from factory. It is a very dependable and economical AWD SUV. Once someone becomes a Subaru owner, they often continue to buy a Subaru. Only major complaint about this car is the Bluetooth system, it is just not on par with any other vehicle I have owned that has a built in Bluetooth system. It is non-user friendly and has significant difficulty in recognizing voice inputs.

For the competition in 2003 this car proved to be one of the best with the best AWD system especially if you are in the part of the country that gets a lot of snow. The premium model comes with the luxury of leather seating surfaces with automatic climate control. A limited slip differential in the rear axle gives the extra sure footedness in the snow and in adverse conditions when you just have to get there. The space on the roof with optional racks and in the rear with the high hatch is ideal for the handy man that is headed to the hardware store more than the mall. And for the outdoorsy types this is one of the best for small families a confortable ride to lug gear while offering decent space, good mielage and convenience of getting in and out in a hurry.

My family bought this SUV around 4 years ago and it has never once given us problems. It's a great all-round vehicle that we use for everyday life-- it's really reliable too. Not only that, but it has the "partial zero emission" to it, so it's good for the environment. Design is another plus, the vehicle looks sleek and the sun-roof is a nice touch.

this mini van has been with me for 4 years and there is no problems whatsoever yet. i have 45000km's total. i have been driving in the snow and rain, yet no problems yet. the TURBO is a great addition and a must have.

We have had this car for about 6 years now and love it. Only complaint is we used to get alot better gas mileage than we get now

I feel very safe with this car. The stability is astonishing. Absolutely no skidding on snow or uphill. I like the bluetooth technology included in the base model. I could listen to my music from my Blackberry via Bluetooth. My suggestion for the future models would be to incrase the number of gears to at least five, as there are currently only four with th eautomatic transmission.

For familly or a simple rider like sports driving. It will never despointe you. In all weather you can make all you want with this litle suv. With the xt model you will have a lot of power and it will put a smile in your face every day. You have many option include in the car it can give you confort and don`t forget in all model of Subaru you have the AWD systeme.

This car fits my lifestyle perfectly and has been very reliable all the way to 280K. I love the car but if I could change one thing it would be to give it 'framed' glass in the front driver and passenger doors to further cut wind noise. Subaru made that change around 2005 so my next Forester purchase will be that model year or newer.

This is my 4th Subaru. A safe, reliable (but ho-hum) car. Alll wheel drive is a bonus in snow (alhough we are getting less these winters).

By 2009 Subaru should have had 6 speed transmissiopn in both manual & automatic versions.
