2010 Subaru Forester

by Tom_B on 11-03-2012
Would buy again
Very good vehicle I will get another in 2015. Very dependable in the snow, never spun a wheel i two years of winter driving. Inside is very very roomy with a lot of head room and leg room. Nice and quite on the road and a comfortable ride. If you are looking for a dependable drive that makes you feel safe it bad driving conditions this is the vehicle for you.

Been a great car.
Never stuck in a snow storm ever. This car has given me many years of reliable travel and I always felt safe in the winter months.

2010 Subaru Forester

Subaru this is my seventh and I have always been a happy owner!
They have always been reliable. They are awesome in the winter. This one has an excellent climate control system. The drivers seat is very adjustable and there is lots of headroom (I am 6 foot 1 1/2 inches tall) . The manual transmission is fun although it lacks low RPM torque but that was easy to get used to. Mine is a Forester and the dog (mostly German Shepherd) loves the back with the seat down. I am a happy owner!

2006 Subaru Forester

Subaru Forrester
I'm not sure what everyone else gets for fuel economy with their Forrester, but for a stationwagon style vehicle I would hope to get something reasonable. I find that I am consistently getting less than 20mpg.

Everything else about the car is great - comfortable, style, reliability. It's just the fuel economy that gets us. And that is combined city and highway!

2012 Subaru Forester

2012 Subaru Forester
We purchased this 1 month ago, after testing just about all the SUV's in its class. Interior styling is fairly basic and exterior styling is kind of ordinary. Our vehicle was a demo with about 10000kms. Subaru cash incentives and finance purchasing was attractive. We also were leaning heavily toward Hyundai Santa Fe but Subaru's AWD system spoke volumes over all the competition. Very happy with our decision.

Great ride with a feeling of comfort and safety
In all, I love my 2012 Subaru Forester. The driving experience is very good, just a tad disappointed on the fuel efficiency though.

So Far So Good
The Subaru Forester is a great car and the new exterior design/look in my opinion looks better (hood scoop!). This is the perfect choice for road trips, driving friends around, and tackling all types or weather conditions. The fact that it has a timing chain rather than a belt is definitely a plus! Turbo lag is minimal and acceleration is strong. The interior is roomy and the panoramic moonroof is amazing. So far so good!

2012 Subaru Forester

2012 Subaru Forester Touring Sport
It's a hit here at home! Having come to the end of the line of our minivan, it was time for a replacement. We did our homework, and come to the conclusion that it would be too much of a culture shock to go into a compact, which in this day of rising gas prices, seemed like the smart, practical thing to do. So, with a test drive, we were sold on the value provided by the Forester. The seats are very comfortable. And the fact that the material is stain resistant makes them perfect for our family. The interior is laid out nicely, and all controls are easy to reach. Although, I've questioned why the USB connection is buried in the console, and tough to get at. The ride is quiet, and it handles well. This is the sport model, so it also provides the "manumatic" option, which will most likely get limited use within our household. This being a demo model, there were also options that were added for show. Probably not things that we would have added otherwise, they're nice additions. The sport shifter, foglights, silver coloured rails on roof, chrome door handles, rear bumper protector. All nice to have, but not sure I'd add to the bottom line with the option list. All in all, we're very pleased with our Subaru. In fact, having driven the Crosstrek XV, there may be another Subaru in our driveway in the future.

Nice height for entry and visibility. Peppy to drive. Still draws comments on its looks. Functional and useful. Great under carriage clearance for snow.

Very nice car
The only problem I can see so far is a weak paint. I've had a few tiny chips in front and cannot recall any contact with the stones or whatever. Other than that it's a good car and it's perfect on gas.

Great all year round car
Comfortable for both driver and passengers. I love that this car is great for driving in the snow, especially for snowboarding in the winter. The exterior styling isn't as nice as the newer models. Very reliable car and lots of trunk space.

2010 Subaru Forester

by Myotis on 10-13-2012
Fun, Functional, and Safe
I don't really have any caveats or cons for this car. I'm not trying to say that it's mind-blowingly fantastic, but it's very solid. This car has a surprising amount of cargo space. It also performs very well.

We have a turbocharged version, which makes for fun driving. It also has a sport mode for extra fun and in sport mode you can choose to perform your own gear changes. There are only 4 gears to go between, and you have to time your downshifts, because it doesn't have autoblipping to rev-match or anything to smooth the shifts for you like some other cars do nowadays - but it's still fun.

The main thing about this car for us is the safety. This is actually our second Forester, as our first one was taken out in a highway collision where an oncoming car lost control and veered sideways into our lane and hit us head on at highway speeds. Although the car was toast, we walked away without a scratch and didn't hesitate to replace it with the exact same model.
