2023 Jaguar F-Type

History/Overview

Jaguar has largely turned its focus to SUVs and crossovers in the last few years, but the F-Type roadster remains as a stylish reminder of the brand’s past specialization in high-performance sports cars. Introduced in 2014, the F-Type’s styling was significantly updated in 2021.

What’s New/Key Changes From Last Year

There are no changes to the F-Type for 2023, following last year’s elimination of the car’s four- and six-cylinder engines.

Available Trims

Jag offers the F-Type in P450, P450 R-Dynamic, and P575 R configurations, and in coupe and convertible body styles. All are powered by a 5.0L supercharged V8 engine, but the P575 R boasts a big power bonus. P450 starts with rear-wheel drive, while P450 R-Dynamic and P575 R models come with AWD.

Standard Features

P450 RWD models are fitted with LED headlights/taillights, 20-inch wheels, a switchable exhaust, and a torque-vectoring differential. Inside, there are power steering wheel adjustments, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, single-zone A/C, a heated steering wheel, 10.0-inch touchscreen infotainment with navigation, satellite radio, Apple/Android smartphone integration, leather/suedecloth upholstery, an interactive driver display, and a 10-speaker stereo.

The F-Type’s basic suite of driver assists comprises forward collision mitigation, lane keep assist, front and rear park assist, traffic sign recognition, an adaptive speed limiter, a driver condition monitor, and rain-sensing wipers.

R-Dynamic trim adds auto-dimming/power-folding side mirrors, and twin centre exhaust tips.

The F-Type R gains passive keyless entry, and tire pressure monitoring.

Key Options

The F-Type’s blind spot assist package brings blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert.

Fuel Economy

As of this writing, Jaguar hadn’t published fuel consumption estimates for the 2023 F-Type. However, those figures should be similar to the 2022 model’s ratings of 14.1/9.7 L/100 km (city/highway) for the base RWD model, and 15.2/9.8 L/100 km for the AWD R-Dynamic and P575 R configurations.
