- New GLS V6 trim line
- Infinity premium sound system added to Limited models
- Four-cylinder Limited model adds electronic stability control and traction control
- Navigation system standard on V6 Limited and available on four-cylinder Limited
Due to be replaced with an all-new model for 2011, the 2010 Hyundai Sonata changes only its trim lines. A new GLS V6 adds 17-inch wheels, power sunroof and leather seats, while the GL V6 and GL V6 with Sport Package are discontinued. Both the four-cylinder and V6 Limited models add a premium stereo, and the four-cylinder Limited receives electronic stability control and traction control. The V6 Limited also receives a navigation system that can be added to the four-cylinder Limited model.
The Sonata uses a 2.4-litre four-cylinder, which comes with a five-speed manual or optional five-speed automatic in the base GL model, and the automatic in all other trims; or a 3.3-litre V6 with five-speed automatic. The four-cylinder comes as the GL, GL with Sport Package or Limited, while the V6 comes as the GLS or Limited V6.
Features on the GL include 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, heated cloth seats, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, CD/MP3 stereo with six speakers, auxiliary input and USB port, anti-lock brakes with electronic brake force distribution, centre console, side and curtain airbags, front active head restraints, windshield de-icer, leather-wrapped tilt and telescopic steering wheel, map lights, power locks with keyless entry, auto up/down driver’s window, heated mirrors, cruise control, and trip computer.
The GL Sport Package adds 17-inch alloy wheels, chrome window belt mouldings, cloth seats with leather bolsters, fog lights, power sunroof, rear lip spoiler, sport-tuned suspension, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.
The Limited builds on the GL and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, eight-way power driver’s seat, leather seats, premium six-CD/MP3 stereo with seven speakers, automatic headlamps, brake assist, chrome door handles and window belt mouldings, auto-dimming rearview mirror, compass, garage door opener, electronic stability control, traction control, fog lights, power sunroof, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, solar control glass, and woodgrain interior accents.
The V6-powered GLS builds on the four-cylinder GL and adds 17-inch alloy wheels, leather seats, eight-way power driver’s seat, brake assist, chrome window belt mouldings, dual exhaust, electronic stability control, traction control, fog lights, power sunroof, solar control glass, and steering wheel-mounted audio controls.
The V6 Limited builds on the four-cylinder Limited and adds dual exhaust and navigation system.
