NEW FOR 2013:
- Heated seats made standard on GL trim.
- Fully-automatic climate control standard on GLS trim.
For 2013, the Hyundai Accent continues on relatively unchanged, only seeing a couple of additional features offered as standard equipment on GL and GLS trims.
The Accent is available in two body styles - four-door sedan and five-door hatchback - with a 1.6L four-cylinder engine with direct injection and variable value timing producing 138 hp and 123 lb-ft of torque mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual mode. Bumps in the road are dampened by a front MacPherson strut and rear torsion axle suspension.
Trims include L, L Auto, GL, GL Auto, GLS, and GLS Auto.
In L trim, features include 1.6L four-cylinder engine, six-speed manual transmission, 14-inch steel wheels, P175/70/TR14 tires, body colour door handles and mirrors, 4-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with USB/iPod input, height adjustable driver's seat, floor mats, power door locks, tilt steering, four wheel disc brakes with ABS, ECO shift indicator, six airbags (front, front seat, roof mountain curtain), compact spare tire, electronic stability control, traction control, vehicle stability management, and front active headrests. The hatchback gets an additional rear spoiler, rear wiper, cargo covering shelf.
GL trim adds heated exterior mirrors, 60/40 split folding rear seats, air conditioning, centre console with armrest, front heated seats, power windows with driver's auto down, cruise control, steering wheel audio and cruise controls, and 6-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 stereo with USB/iPod input.
GL Auto trim adds 16-inch alloy wheels, P195/50/HR16 tires, fog lights, mirror mounted turn signal indicators, power sunroof, automatic climate control, Bluetooth phone integration, satellite radio, chrome interior door handles, and leather wrapped steering wheel.
All "Auto" trims add six-speed automatic transmission and Active ECO. The sedan is not available in GLS trim, only GLS Auto trim.
