The trim levels have been changed, with the coupe now available as the V6, V6 Premium with Performance, Pony or Mustang Club Package, and GT. The convertible comes as the V6 with Premium Pony or Mustang Club Package, and GT. Selectable electric power-assist steering with Comfort, Sport and Normal settings is now standard on all models. New packages are available. The V6 Performance Package adds a strut tower brace, larger sway bars, unique front springs and calipers, Performance Friction brake pads, 19-inch painted aluminum wheels with Z-rated tires, unique stability control calibration, high-gloss black mirror skull caps, unique engine cover and tire mobility kit. The Mustang Club of America Special Edition, available on the V6 Premium coupe and convertible, adds painted dark stainless billet grille with tri-bar pony badge, front lower fascia-mounted fog lamps, unique side and deck lid tape, 18-inch grey metallic painted aluminum wheels, premium floor mats with pony logo, automatic headlamps and deck lid spoiler. The Boss 302 Laguna Seca package deletes the rear seat and adds brake cooling ducts, front air splitter, 3.73:1 axle, gauge package, unique rear springs and sway bar, 19-inch painted aluminum wheels with dry weather race compound tires, Recaro sport seats and unique badging. The Mustang is available as a coupe or convertible. The V6 uses a 3.7-litre V6 with six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic. The GT uses a 5.0-litre V8 with six-speed manual or optional six-speed automatic. The Shelby GT500 comes as a coupe or convertible, and uses a supercharged 5.4-litre V8 with six-speed manual, while the Boss 302 uses a high-output 5.0-litre with six-speed manual and is only available as a coupe.
