Following the dramatic redesign of its Chrysler 200 sibling for the 2015 model year, the Dodge Avenger moves into 2014 unchanged. A 173-hp four-cylinder and four-speed automatic form the base powertrain, with a six-speed auto as an option, and a 3.6L Pentastar V6 and six-speed auto are the upgrade.

Avenger trims start with the Canada Value Package, which comes with cloth seats, manual driver's seat seat height and lumbar adjustments, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, leather-wrapped shifter, Uconnect media centre with auxiliary input, two 12-volt power outlets, steering wheel-mounted audio and cruise controls, tilt-and-telescoping steering column, sun visor-mounted vanity mirrors, LED-lit instrument cluster, power windows with driver one-touch down, power mirrors and door locks, air conditioning, intstrument panel storage bin, centre console with storage, floor console with fore and aft sliding armrest, front and rear floor mats, outside temperature display, trunk lighting, 17-inch steel wheels, bright grille trim, front and rear stabilizer bars, keyless entry, body-colour fascia and door handles, and touring suspension tuning.

SXT trim adds 18-inch aluminum wheels, automatic climate control, fog lights, mini trip computer, body-coloured heated side mirrors, heated front seats, eight-way power driver's seat, leather-wrapped steering wheel, front and rear aimable LED lights, six-speaker stereo, outside temperature gauge and compass, rear-seat assist handles and trunklid spoiler.

In top-level R/T trim, standard features include the V6 engine, upgraded cloth seats with leather bolsters, Rallye-design 18-inch wheels, upgraded Uconnect media system with USB input, perforated leather-wrapped steering wheel, body-colour grille, red LED interior lighting, black headlight housings, six Boston Acoustics speakers, sport suspension, hood-to-fender stripes, remote start, automatic headlights, Bluetooth with streaming audio, power windows with front one-touch up/down, auto-dimming rearview mirror and garage door opener.
