NEW FOR 2014:
- No changes.
One of the last-standing midsize coupes on the market, the Accord Coupe carries over for 2014 without any changes.
There’s much to like about the latest version of the two-door Accord. Although it’s based on a practical and spacious family sedan, its swoopier styling and elegant interior lend it the feel of a near-luxury automobile. And that will suit certain buyers who don’t want the retro styling of the Challenger or Mustang just fine. The Accord is also a solid performer on the road; it may not have the balance of the rear-drive Hyundai Genesis Coupe, but the Accord's refined and sporting should put a smile on your face – especially the V6 paired to the six-speed manual.
There are three trim levels offered. EX and EX-L Navi models feature a 2.4-litre four-cylinder engine (185 hp/181 lb-ft) with direct injection mated to a six-speed manual transmission as standard, with a continuously variable transmission as an option. The EX-L V6 Navi V6 is available with a 3.5-litre V6 engine (278 hp/252 lb-ft) mated to either a six-speed manual or six-speed automatic. All trims are front-wheel drive.
Features on the EX include 17-inch aluminum alloy wheels, Eco Assist driving coach with ECON mode button, immobilizer theft-deterrent system, security system, chrome door handles, body coloured power heated folding door mirrors with turn signal indicators, front fog lights, moonroof, trunk spoiler, rear window defroster, active noise cancellation, dual-zone automatic climate control, power door locks, power windows with auto-up/down driver and passenger windows, proximity key with push-button start, cruise control with steering wheel mounted controls, multi angle rear camera, HandsFreeLink, exterior temperature indicator, auto-on/off headlights, smart maintenance alert, map lights, tilt/telescopic steering column, 8-way power driver seat, 4-way manual passenger seat, heated front seats, 7-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3/WMA audio with subwoofer and 8-inch LCD display, HondaLink with touchscreen, text message/email capability, Aha radio, steering wheel mounted audio controls with illumination, satellite radio, USB and auxiliary input jacks.
EX-L Navi adds navigation as well as Lane Watch blind spot monitor, forward collision warning system, lane departure warning system, auto-dimming rear view mirror, driver seat position memory, leather upholstery, and a leather-wrapped steering wheel.
EX-L V6 Navi adds the more powerful V6 engine, 18-inch aluminum alloy wheels, LED headlights, LED daytime running lights, dual exhaust finishers, and HomeLink integrated garage door opener.
