An all-new model for 2011, the Chrysler 200 replaces the Sebring in the company’s lineup. It is also the basis for the equally new 2011 Dodge Avenger. It uses Chrysler’s all-new 3.6-litre “Pentastar” engine and includes all-new styling, new suspension and numerous new interior features. It comes as a four-door sedan or two-door convertible.
The 200 comes with a 2.4-litre four-cylinder or 3.6-litre V6. The four-cylinder uses a four-speed automatic that can be optioned to a six-speed automatic, while the V6 uses the six-speed automatic exclusively. The LX sedan uses the four-cylinder; the Touring comes with the four-cylinder but can be optioned to the V6; and the Limited uses the V6. The LX convertible uses the four-cylinder, while the Touring and Limited use the V6.
Features on the LX sedan include 17-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, power windows, keyless entry, heated mirrors, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, tire pressure monitoring system, premium cloth seats and 60/40 split-folding rear seat.
The Touring sedan adds 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic temperature control, eight-way power driver’s seat, fog lamps, remote starter, leather-wrapped steering wheel with audio controls, automatic headlamps, vehicle information centre, trip computer, and Sirius satellite radio.
The Limited sedan adds 18-inch alloy wheels, heated leather seats, dual exhaust with bright tips, Unconnect, Bluetooth connectivity and garage door opener.
Features on the LX convertible include 17-inch alloy wheels, air conditioning, LED accent lighting and taillights, tilt and telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, cloth seats, keyless entry, security alarm, CD stereo with four speakers, tire pressure warning system, heated mirrors, and power retractable cloth top with hard tonneau.
The Touring convertible adds 18-inch polished aluminum wheels, automatic climate control, dual exhaust with bright tips, fog lamps, heated six-way power seats, trip computer, remote starter, six speakers, automatic headlamps, leather-wrapped steering wheel, Sirius satellite radio, and tire pressure display.
The Limited convertible adds leather-faced seats, Bluetooth streaming audio, bright exterior mirrors and door handles, auto up/down front windows, garage door opener, auto-dimming rearview mirror, media centre with touch screen, and windscreen. A power-retractable hardtop is available as an option.
