2011 Chevrolet Malibu

For 2011, the Chevrolet Malibu now uses a six-speed automatic in both of its engines, versus the four-speed automatic that could be ordered on the four-cylinder for 2010. The previous LT2 trim line is renamed the LT Platinum. OnStar is upgraded into its ninth generation with improved voice recognitiion.

The Malibu comes with a choice of two engines. A 2.4-litre four-cylinder with six-speed automatic is the base engine in all trim lines, which are the LS, LT, LT Platinum Edition and LTZ. A 3.6-litre V6 with six-speed automatic can be optioned in the LT Platinum and LTZ.

Features on the LS include 17-inch painted steel wheels, air conditioning, automatic headlamps, keyless entry, OnStar with Turn-by-Turn Navigation, anti-theft alarm, body-colour door handles, acoustic windshield and front door glass, black grille, black power mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, cruise control, floor mats, driver information centre, tilt and telescopic steering wheel, vanity mirrors, auto-down driver’s window, cloth seats, four-way power driver’s seat, 60/40 split-folding rear seat, and CD stereo with auxiliary input.

The LT adds 17-inch alloy wheels, body-colour mirrors, steering wheel-mounted audio controls, Bluetooth connectivity, and stereo MP3 playback with auto tone controls.

The LT Platinum adds 17-inch chrome-clad wheels, remote starter, rear reading lights, auto-dimming mirror with compass, leather-wrapped steering wheel, illuminated vanity mirrors, heated seats, six-way power driver’s seat, and UltraLux Sheer Suede seating surfaces.

The LTZ adds 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, chrome door handles, fog lights, silver grille, heated mirrors, LED taillights, premium floor mats, trunk mat, 110-volt power outlet, eight-way driver and six-way passenger power-adjustable heated leather seats, eight-speaker Bose premium audio system, USB port and XM satellite radio.
