For 2011, the Hyundai Elantra is redesigned into its newest generation, with all-new styling, new engine and upgraded features.
It is a different vehicle from the Elantra Touring, which is covered in a separate entry.
The Elantra uses a 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine. A six-speed manual is used in the L, GL and GLS, and can be optioned to a six-speed automatic that is the sole choice in the Limited.
Features on the L include 15-inch steel wheels, power locks, heated mirrors, trip computer, tinted glass, CD/MP3 stereo, USB port, auxiliary input, rear seat centre armrest with cupholders, cloth seats, floor mats, and power windows with auto driver’s-down.
The GL adds 16-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, keyless entry, cruise control, centre console with storage box, heated seats, telescopic steering wheel with audio controls, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The GLS adds leather-wrapped steering wheel, heated rear seats, power sunroof, key set illumination, illuminated vanity mirrors, windshield sunshade band, fog lights, and XM satellite radio.
The Limited adds 17-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, driver’s auto up/down window, deluxe sliding centre armrest, leather seats, automatic light control, auto-dimming rearview mirror, garage door opener, solar control glass, and mirrors with integrated turn signals.
The Limited with Navigation adds proximity key with pushbutton start, stereo external amplifier and seven-inch touch-screen navigation with rearview camera.
