This was the first year for the newly designed RAV4. It was much more spacious than the previous generation and had ample cargo space. Mine had a few creaks and buzzes emanating from the dashboard, however, the dealership was never able to fix them. I had the truck for six years and never had any serious reliability issues with it. It’s really a terrific truck for a small family.

This was a terrific car that you could drive all year round because of the amazing all-wheel-drive system. I bought the car used and eventually had a problem with the brake system that was going to cost around $2,000 to fix. It really didn't seem worth it at the time and I ended up selling it much to my chagrin.

This was the first Honda that I owned. The manual transmission was extremely reliable and I never had any problems with it. Exterior and interior styling was pretty standard for its time, but the gas mileage was exceptional. Having adults sit in the back was difficult as there wasn’t a whole lot of space. I’ve had several Hondas since this car.
