Toyota Matrix 2003Change

Very versatile vehicle, great in thewinter and even more fun in the summer. Plenty of room inside, great visibility and handling and very reliable performance all around.

My Mom bought the car new from a local TOYOTA dealer and it has been the model of Toyota reliability.

High performance ,good on gas,number one reabillity ,bit noisy on highway,Iwas driving the car for8 years ,did not replaced anything on it,except consumabille .

Had this car for 9 years and 200000 plus Km and had to do little more than oil changes and other recommended maintenance. Great car great fuel economy even today.

We bought this car used, as a second vehicle. It's got a decent amount of room for a car, but not enough power for its size. The fuel economy could probably be better if they used a slightly larger 4 cylinder or very small 6. I have 4 winter tires on it, and it will stop on a dime but cannot take off to save its life.

It's very roomy inside the "cockpit," but for me that's almost a negative. I am 5'8" and have at least 8" of headroom above me. The steering wheel doesn't lower far enough to be comfortable to me, and at its lowest point, it blocks the gauge cluster. The seat does not raise, which I would prefer over lowering the steering wheel.

For its size inside, sluggish handling, and mediocre fuel economy a small SUV would be more suitable if the budget allowed.

This car is small and enjoyable. I drice it standard and enjoy it, however it could definitly have better interior design. It could also be better suited for trunk space.
I recommend this car to students. i also suggest you buy it used becuase it is not worth buying new, and it will proabably still be in good shape.

I bought my Toyota Matrix XR in 2002 off line line. Didn't even get a chance to test drive one before I got it - ended up testing a Vibe to get an idea if I liked it or not. From the first drive I LOVED MY CAR. It has zip and great gas mileage and is VERY arthritis friendly. It is 10 years old this year and I still love it as much as the day I brought it home. I have over 150,000 kms on it and it still drives like new. No problems with it either. Just regular maintenance. LOVE MY TOYOTA MATRIX!!!!!

We've had this car for almost 10 years and it has never needed a major repair, ever. Sure, we've done regular maintenance and have needed to do things like replace the brake pads, but as far as the engine/transmission/system/etc is considered - this car has never let us down, ever.

When we do need to go in for maintenance or a small new part is needed, it's minimal and the cost of parts is low because it's such a popular car.

The other thing I love about it is the trunk space. It's big and all of the back seats fold down, so you can actually fit a lot back there if you need to.

Hatchback style and fold down rear seat provide for very versatile cargo space. Sporty look and Toyota reliability.

I bought this car used in 2007 and have put about 100,000 kms in the 5 years I've owned it. In that time it's been extremely reliable, very good on gas(despite requiring premium fuel), and very fun to drive. It's been the main transportation for my friends and I on countless road trips, and almost always able to carry anything and everything I need it to. I would highly recommend this car to anybody who wants a reliable car that gets great gas, is fun to drive and needs the room to fit people and their stuff.

We have a Matrix and love this car. We are the second owner and have had it for almost 7 years. It has been a great car, reliable and feel like we will still get another 3-5 years out of it.

I've had my Matrix for 9 years and its been the most reliable car i've ever had. It's comfortable, great on fuel and i've never had any major issues with it. I take it in for regular oil changes and I have winter and summer tires for it which makes a huge difference.
