This Kia Rio is the economy of economy cars. There is no flash or bang with this car. But it will save you by keeping the money doled out, for the flash and bang, in the bank. You don't buy an economy car for those reasons away, oui.

This car will get you to where you are going and it will be an excellent commuter car for GO passengers or for those quick local trips. As a long haul car...well it is an economy car; which means its good on fuel consumption, but lacks on the creature comforts.

This little gem for the last four years has only seen the streets of the Durham region. It is a proven fact that the trunk is great for holding golf clubs, hockey bags and soccer equipment. Put for winter tires on her and she will even see you to the ski hills.

Numerous electrical issues. Became a money pit after 3 years of ownership. Total lack of warranty and dealer support. I have purchased 3 vehicles since then, avoided Kia completely.

had problems with the car when first bought with the transmission going with in the first year, and again when the new transmission was not installed correctly and once with putting too much fuel in the car. Kia fixed all the problems and the car works great seven years kater

We picked this car up at about 4 years old with only 12,000km on it. The car has been a great run about for us in town. OK on the highway.

I find the KIA Rio RX-V is great on gas. I can usually travel 500 highway kilometres before filling up.

Recommendation - get the timing belt changed at the recommended kilometers. I had mine break while on the highway and it killed the engine. Bent pistons, cam shaft broken...what should have cost $500 to change ended up costing $2000. Do this if you plan on keeping the car until it falls apart.

My girlfriend and I drove across the country with this litte kia stationwagon packed full of boxes, camping equipment, and even her pet hedgehog, in a travel carrier. It not only got us from the west to the east, but it did so with ease and comfort. I'd recommend buying one.
