Chevrolet Monte Carlo 2006Change

Haven't had a real problem with it since I bought it, it's a big car but its good on gas and never left me stranded.

I've never had an issue, I've gone long distances with no problems and it's super comfortable. I've done some mods that have boosted the Horsepower and response time.

I love the car it handles well and has great fuel economy. The car itself looks great the only issue is it being made of plastic. What happened to vehicles made of metal? Another issue with the monte it a lot of specialty tools are needed so you have to take it to a dealership shop to get anything fixed which usually costs way more.

Ive owned a 06 Monte Carlo LT since 24,000km and Ive loved it. It has had minor issues but what car doesn't? It has style to pickup women and power to tow your toys around. I would have never sold it but with a wife and 2 children its time to move to a 4-door. I drove it across Canada in the middle of its life and couldn't have been more happy with the way it performed. Its sad to hear that the Monte Carlo will be no more. At least I got to be a part of the last generation. Thanks Chevy for a wonderful car!

I bought this car as the second owner, and it's been the greatest vehicle i've had. I had a 2002 Monte Carlos SS and sold it, then moved into a 2006 Cadillac CTS which was a horrible vehicle. I had nothing by tranny issues and problems with the motor. After 1 year of putting up with the CTS, I went back to a Monte Carlo. The local Chev dealership had an 06 SS in Black/Silver 2 tone on display. I knew they had beefed up the motor to the 325 cubic inch v8 - and boy, does it ever haul! I've raced all of the "street muscle" cars - mustangs, G8 GT's, Charger R/T's and Challenger R/T's, and I have no problem keeping up and in most cases pulling ahead. I haven't a an ounce problem with the car since i bought it (had it 3 years). The car is a beast on tires... due to the FWD setup, if you get on the throttle anything less thatn 60km/h, the front tires do spin, and in turn you loose rubber. In 3 years i've gone through 3 sets of tires... it seems that I always need to replace them right before the snow flies!!! Overall, it's a great machine. the ride is comfortable, and the look is very unique and eye catching. A great vehicle!

300HP V8? Yes please. This car keeps up with the 2012 Dodge ChargerChallenger R/T's without a problem. IN fact, it will pull ahead. The torque is amazing on this vehicle - and as it's FWD, it really pulls. Good luck keeping tires on it for more than a year... that seems to be a common issue. Lots of pull from the front tires means they wear quickly. HWY ratings I believe are close to 30mpg. I'm lucky to get 24mpg. Overall an amazing vehicle - lots of fun, and it's a real looker.
