Chevrolet Aveo 2008Change

This car has to be one of the best on fuel due to its size, how light it is, good Aerodynamics and 103 hp engine. lots of room, trunk space, good looks and style

No problem feels secure to ride and has a terrific feel has good acceleration for passing and is very stable would buy Chevrolet again because quality is good for the price

I've had this car since 2008, bought it new off the lot, and I've had nothing but a great experience.The only thing the alternator went at one point, but it was covered under warranty and I was able to use roadside assistance.

I bought this car brand new in 2008 and the only issue I have had besides the usual brakes was the stereo system. I had to have it replaced 4 or 5 times but it was always covered under warranty - the dealer and the Chev engineer had never seen this issue before. I was just replaced the oil gasket after 7 years as it was leaking - wasn't as expensive as I thought it might be. I bought the manual transmission and have really enjoyed booting around the city and cruising on the highway. It is roomy enough that my 100 pound yellow lab sits in the rear seat and can easily lie down! Perfect car for those that can't afford luxury and want reliability!

This is my second Aveo hatchback. My first was a 2007 (see review by PB89). My 2007 was amazing, never had any issues and held up through a high speed high side impact crash. For these reasons I decided to replace it with a 2008 that had 30,00KM's less on it (bought it at 23,000KM).

Do not buy a 2008. I cannot stress this enough. I've had nothing but issues since I bought this car and its newer then my old one! In this car the speakers have stopped working, only the passenger side front works. The air conditioning has already stopped working and is now in for extensive repair.

But the biggest most annoying issue is the horrid noise that comes from the drivers front area when you are driving 100km's+ and/or its really windy. It sounds like someone blowing across a jug except it sometimes gets louder and its more frequent. Turning up the stereo doesn't work (especially if the speakers aren't working!). Our mechanic shop cannot find anything actually wrong with it and further investigation online proves a lot of other aveo owners having the same issues because it is just the way the car is made.

Don't buy a 2008 model and look into other years prior to purchasing.

i love this car. it's handles great and the gas mileage is amazing. i made a 5.5 hour trip and didn't have to fill up until i was ready to head back home.

I love my Aveo! Great little car, fantastic on fuel! It has lots of power and it's a stylish looking car, there are a few bugs though , at 110 km/hr there is an annoying whistle., and the cup holder is in an awkward place, the driver hits their knee on it when there's a cup in it. But over all it's a great car.

Great car, lots of colors to choose from, never had a problem, good in long road trips, good on gas, love this car

It has saved us thousands for fuel to take my son to hockey, great on fuel for us. I found that we have have had it 3 years and no major problems yet for us, We have recommended the car to other people who wanted to buy a new car, and they love it! we have the Highway Yellow version so its not hard to miss us :) Love the Car to death

Everything in this car is base on minimal desing. Seat are hards, transmission is noisy but if you want some luxary, you would have bought a Cadillac right ?

i finally got to pay it off last year. Its comfortable, relible, dependable, gets me where i need to go. I even named my car blue, shes a lovely beast i tell ya lol
