Absolutely fantastic vehicle. Room for family and friends n comfort and luxury, especially with the DVD system. Loads of room for all your stuff to go with you without the confines of an SUVs cargo space limitations. Very practical truck for pleasure, work or whatever. Excellent fuel economy, even with well over 200k KM on the odometer, still seeing almost 800km per tank mixed city/highway driving. Very reliable and easy to service engine and mechanicals. Feels like driving a big couch. Fantastic seats for long highway drives, soaks up the bumps and cruises along effortlessly. In my opinion it rides better than most pick up trucks because of the unibody construction being more rigid than having a seperate cab and bed. It's like a Silverado, but more practical. It's a wonder GM stopped making these trucks. They are just fantastic and would highly recommend an Avalanche be on your shopping list when looking for a crew cab pick up. You won't regret it.

Truck offers you fuel-efficiency and power/towing capabilities. For example, I drove from Edmonton through Calgary to Banff and back home home - all on ONE tank of gas (12L/100km).
Almost 1000km on one tank of gas!!

Very reliable truck - starts without a hiccup in the cold weather. Pop it into 4WD and tackle Alberta's winter roads no problem!!

Also, the biggest reason I love to drive this truck is because of the after-market sound system that just BANGS!

We've owned this truck since 2006. It drives like a dream on the highways & interstates. We've kept up all services and haven't had to make any repairs except those that the service maintenance required. Sometimes we forget this is a truck and think of the ride as being in a car. It tows a travel travel with little effort.

No matter what Ice,snow,rain or a nice summer day you can enjoy this truck!!! lots of room for the kids and hockey equipment ect. Fuel mileage is pretty darn good for a truck this size getting about 750km per tank. the 4 wheel drive options are easily accessed by just the touch of a button for those situations in the winter with an ice and snow or you have the option to run the automatic 4 wheel drive system all the time. love this truck. recomend it to anyone used or new you can't go wrong.

I have owned the Avalanche for over 3 years and its awesome. If I need to haul the kids with all their stuff it does it, loads of 4x8 sheets of drywall - it does that too....
The midgate is great, it means this is a SUV for the family and a truck.

I have had this truck for many years and in my opinion it is the best truck ever made and i'm not surprised that this truck has taken me anywhere i may want to go.
