Introduced as all-new models for 2008, the Audi A5 and S5 undergo additional significant changes for 2010. New soft-top Cabriolet models are introduced, with the S5 Cabriolet adding an all-new supercharged V6 engine. The Coupe adds a 2.0T engine alongside the previous 3.2-litre V6, and the latter engine loses its manual transmission option. LED taillights are now added to the A5 and S5 models.
The A5 Coupe comes as the 2.0T, with 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine, and as the 3.2, with 3.2-litre V6, while the A5 Cabriolet is a 2.0T only. The 2.0T uses a six-speed manual or six-speed Tiptronic automatic, while the 3.2 uses the Tiptronic automatic only. The S5 Coupe uses a 4.2-litre V8 with six-speed manual or six-speed Tiptronic, while the S5 Cabriolet uses a newly-developed 3.0-litre V6 with supercharger and seven-speed S-tronic transmission. All models use Quattro all-wheel drive.
The Cabriolet models use a power-operated soft top that opens in 15 seconds and closes in 17 seconds. It can be opened or closed at speeds of up to 50 km/h.
Trim levels on the Coupe are 2.0T, 2.0T Premium, and 3.2 Premium, while the Cabriolet comes as the 2.0T and 2.0T Premium. The S5 Coupe comes in a single trim line, while the S5 Cabriolet comes as the Cabriolet and Cabriolet Premium.
Features on the 2.0T Coupe include 18-inch alloy wheels, automatic climate control, bi-xenon headlamps with washers, heated washer nozzles, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights, fog lamps, ultrasonic interior monitoring system, cruise control, Intelligent Key, sunroof, heated leather seats with power driver and passenger adjustment, 60/40 split-folding rear seats, front and rear carpet floor mats, CD/MP3 stereo, Sirius satellite radio, driver information centre, and trip computer.
The 2.0T Premium adds three-zone automatic climate control, rain- and speed-sensitive wipers, Bluetooth connectivity, music interface for iPod control, driver's side memory, auto-dimming interior and exterior mirrors, and compass.
The 3.2 Premium is similarly equipped.

The 2.0T Premium Cabriolet adds three-zone automatic climate control, rain- and speed-sensitive wipers, Bluetooth connectivity, music interface with iPod control, headlight washers, driver's side memory, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, and auto-dimming rearview mirror with compass.
