bcbud726 Turns heads November 30, 2017 ECLIPSE SPYDER
Overall Score
This car looks like a lot of money but it really isn't. It will turn heads everywhere you go. Engine runs great and haven't had any problems for over three years. It's small inside so if you're a bigger person it won't be comfortable.

On certain vehicles, in the event of a collision that warrants a deployment of the front passenger airbag, the deploying airbag could strike the passenger sun visor if it is in the down position. This could cause the sun visor to detach from its mounting bracket, potentially contacting an occupant, which would increase the risk of injury. Correction: Dealers will add a tether strap to the passenger sun visor.

On certain vehicles, corrosion may occur in the ABS hydraulic unit due to a reaction between the brake fluid and the surface treatment of the internal valves. If this were to occur and the ABS hydraulic unit is activated, one or more of the valves could seize. This could result in longer brake pedal travel and increased stopping distances, which may increase the risk of a crash causing injury and/or damage to property. Correction: Dealers will flush and clean the hydraulic unit by replacing the brake fluid with higher grade (DOT4) fluid. If module valve movement is determined to be poor, the ABS hydraulic unit will be replaced.

On certain vehicles, the bracket that is the anchor point for the left rear fuel tank mounting strap may have been improperly formed during the manufacturing process. This may have caused the metal to spilt in the area where the bolt holds the fuel strap to the underside of the vehicle. In the event the tank is full of fuel and the vehicle is involved in a serious collision the bracket could break and the tank could drop down. This situation could result in a fuel leak and the possibility of a fire. Correction: Dealers will inspect and if necessary install a reinforcement cap to the fuel tank bracket.

On certain vehicles, the ignition key interlock cable may have been improperly manufactured. This could allow the automatic transmission gear selector lever to be moved out of the PARK position with the key removed from the ignition switch. If the park brake is not applied, and the gear shift lever is moved out of PARK, the vehicle may roll and result in a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will inspect and, if required, replace the interlock cable.

On certain vehicles, the right rear portion of the front crossmember is under-strength. This could allow the passenger side lower control arm to separate from the crossmember, which may result in a loss of steering control and a crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the lower crossmember as necessary.

On certain vehicles, the internal seals in the brake master cylinder may have been installed incorrectly. As a result, the master cylinder may unexpectedly bypass braking force pressure and allow a longer than normal pedal stroke. Should this condition occur, the brake distance required to stop the vehicle will increase and may lead to a vehicle crash. Correction: Dealers will replace the brake master cylinder.

On certain vehicles, the fuel return line hose fitting on the electric fuel pump may be restricted, causing excessive fuel pressure to build up in the fuel injection system. Excessive fuel pressure may result in the fuel return hose becoming dislodged, resulting in fuel leakage. Fuel leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire. Correction: Dealer will inspect the fuel pump pressure. Those vehicles exhibiting higher than normal fuel pump pressure will receive fuel pump modifications.
