excellent car for small family

Went looking for an SUV a for a few months and drove many different SUV's from different dealers. I actually had an appointment for a Subaru forrester, but they were busy, so I went to BMW. Just saw this car by accident, but I really loved it and ended up buying it. I was not positive when I bought it, as it was more expensive that some of the brand new suv's that I was looking at, however, I love it more and more each day. The pro's
excellent road handling, very quiet inside the cabin, beautiful moonroof, great acceleration on highway and in town. Car is unique looking and stands out from all others. I get lots of comments on the car and it is definitely a man magnet.
Cons
Interior is very comfortable and sporty, however, compared to some other suv and cars, the interior is a little cheap looking. Gas mileage is not as good as I thought, either at 10.3 per 100 kms combined.

Size wise, the cargo space is about the size of a hatchback.

I look forward to many years of fun driving. I really like this car!

I enjoy driving this car more and more every day. This car is fast and powerful. Fuel economy is awesome.

Bought it new, great incentives. Entry class crossover, but still feels like the luxury of the more expensive BMW's. Only drawback is the interior design: very limited storage space for "stuff", like sunglasses/ change, etc. lots of unused space.

Love, love, love this car. Drives and performs beyond my standards. But that's BMW for you. Couldn't think of buying any other brand

VERY NICE CAR i drove it once in a trip of 5 h on highway it was good car. the only thing i didnt like is the staring wheel is a bit hard and not smooth which should be a bit fixed

What do you define as not expensive?
A good starter car, price category is about $5000.
You can still get a similar Jetta for that price.
Somewhere along 1999 and 2000.
It's almost the same car but the one you would buy would have high kilometers and would totally drain your wallet with repairs.
Now, sticking to that price category, you have to decide what you want.
If you want something that is reliable and economical, buy a Honda Civic.
If you are a car lover, buy a 1993-1997 BMW 3 series.
Honda is reliable and economical, BMW is great to drive.
The jetta is awesome too.
Test drive those 3 cars.
The BMW 3 series,
The Honda Civic,
and the VW Jetta.
All old, the BMW and VW better to drive, but not so reliable.
The Civic being DULL but reliable.
Whatever you want, take your choice.

This car is really good on highway and interior roads. Fuel economy is great and very reliable on gas. I recommend this vehicle for executive class use.
