Subaru WRX: information, price and comparisons

The Subaru WRX is a turbocharged, all-wheel-drive sport sedan, and one of the last affordable performance cars still offered with a six-speed manual. Every 2026 WRX uses a 271 hp 2.4L turbo boxer engine and full-time Symmetrical AWD, with prices starting at CA$38,595 for the Sport, according to The Car Guide. The automatic, which Subaru calls the Subaru Performance Transmission, is offered on the GT. A limited Kaminari Edition of 150 cars for Canada tops the range at CA$49,995. WRX sales have been falling, down 8% in 2025 and 37% in the first half of 2026, but with the Civic Si pausing after 2026, the WRX will soon be one of very few manual sport compacts left.
