Last redesigned in 2017, the Nissan Armada is the brand's full-size SUV. At its 2004 introduction, Nissan called this full-size truck the Pathfinder Armada to link it to that better-known model, but simplified the name to Armada the following year.
For 2020, the Nissan Armada is carried over unchanged.
Nissan sells the Armada in SL, Platinum, and Platinum Reserve trims. All use a 5.6L V8 engine, 4WD, and a seven-speed automatic transmission.
Armada SL's standard exterior features include 20-inch wheels, automatic on/off LED headlights, fog lights, dark exterior trim elements, power-folding/heated side mirrors, a sunroof, an auto-closing power tailgate, a tow hitch receiver, passive keyless entry, and remote engine start.
Inside, Armada SL comes with navigation in an 8.0-inch infotainment screen, Bluetooth, dual-zone automatic climate control with rear-seat controls, a garage door opener, radar cruise control, power steering column adjustments, rain-sensing wipers with a de-icer, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, footwell lighting, eight-way power front seats with driver memory, heated front seats, a power-folding third-row seat, leather upholstery, leather-trimmed shift lever and heated steering wheel, wood-tone trim, a 13-speaker stereo, and lighted kick plates.
In the safety department, Armada SL gets front and rear parking sensors, 360-degree camera views, forward collision warning with automatic braking, backup intervention, blind spot monitoring with rear cross traffic alert, and moving object detection.
Platinum trim brings ventilated front seats, heated second-row seats, a camera-based rearview mirror, a rear-seat entertainment system, lane departure warning with lane change intervention, and intelligent blind spot intervention. Platinum can be optioned with second-row captain's chairs to replace a bench seat, which also includes a padded and wood tone-trimmed centre console.
The Platinum Reserve package builds on Platinum with the optional captain's chairs, and adds dark chrome exterior trim, and two-tone leather upholstery.
Nissan's fuel consumption estimates for the Armada are 17.7/12.9 L/100 km (city/highway).
