NEW FOR 2010:
- All-new model
For 2010, the Hyundai Tucson is redesigned into its second generation, with new engine, styling and features.
While the 2009 model came with a four-cylinder or V6, the 2010 model uses a 2.4-litre four-cylinder that makes more horsepower than the V6 it replaces. It comes with a six-speed manual in the base GL that can be optioned to a six-speed automatic, while the GLS and Limited trim lines use the automatic exclusively. The GL and GLS come in front-wheel drive but can be optioned to all-wheel drive, while the Limited is all-wheel only. The system runs primarily in front-wheel but can be locked into 50/50 at speeds under 30 km/h.
The new model also features Hyundai’s first use of hill descent control and hill start assist, which are standard on all models.
Features on the GL include 17-inch steel wheels, air conditioning, heated black mirrors, variable intermittent wipers, rear washer/wiper, tilt steering wheel with audio controls, auto-down driver’s window, keyless entry, cloth seats, six-way manual driver’s seat, 60/40 split-folding second-row seat, dual vanity mirrors, active front head restraints, brake assist, tire pressure monitoring system, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input and USB port, iPod interface, and Bluetooth connectivity.
The GLS adds 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lights, body-colour mirrors and door handles, privacy glass, windshield de-icer, silver roof rails, illuminated vanity mirrors, leather-wrapped tilt and telescopic steering wheel, glove compartment light, cruise control, and heated cloth seats with leatherette bolsters.
The Limited adds 18-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, automatic headlamps, mirrors with integrated turn signals, chrome door handles, solar windshield and side glass, exterior temperature gauge, auto up/down driver’s window, leather seats, and eight-way power driver’s seat.
The Limited can also be optioned with a navigation system.
