2011 BMW Z4

For 2011, the BMW Z4 line-up now includes the Z4 sDrive35is model, a high-output version of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre six-cylinder used in the Z4 sDrive35i model. It comes only with the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission and includes several extra features.

The Z4 is available as the sDrive30i, with naturally-aspirated 3.0-litre inline six-cylinder; as the sDrive35i with twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre inline six, and as the sDrive35is, with a higher-performance version of the twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre. The 30i and 35i use a six-speed manual transmission that can be optioned to a six-speed automatic in the 30i and to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic in the 35i. The 35is uses the dual-clutch automatic exclusively. All models use a two-piece retractable hardtop that opens or closes in 20 seconds.

Features on the sDrive30i include 17-inch alloy wheels, dual-zone automatic climate control, Dynamic Driving Control with Normal, Sport and Sport+ modes, adaptive automatic xenon headlamps with washers, adaptive brake lights, heated mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, heated washer nozzle jets, tire pressure warning system, power locks with multi-function remote, front knee airbags, side thorax airbags with integrated head airbag, dynamic cruise control, locking illuminated glovebox, multifunction three-spoke sport steering wheel with telescopic column, power windows, heated six-way manual ?leatherette? seats, CD/MP3 stereo with auxiliary input, Bluetooth connectivity, USB port, iPod interface, and BMW Assist.

The sDrive35i adds 18-inch alloy wheels, exterior door handle lighting, split exhaust tips, auto-dimming rear-view mirror, Comfort Access including remote top operation, silver door entry sills, interior lighting package, garage door opener, and eight-way power sun-reflective leather seats with memory and lumbar support.

The sDrive35is adds Servotronic steering, sport exhaust, adaptive M suspension, front and rear park distance control, alarm system, auto-dimming exterior mirrors, M aerodynamic package, aluminum carbon interior trim, heated steering wheel, M steering wheel with shift paddles, wind deflector, Logic7 premium stereo, Sirius satellite radio, voice-activated navigation system, and iDrive with 8.8-inch LCD display and six programmable memory keys.
