Audi's S6 is a mid-size super sedan. It comes standard with a 4.0L twin-turbocharged V8 making 420 hp and 405 lb-ft of torque. Introduced in 2013, it is unchanged for the 2015 model year. The only transmission is a seven-speed dual clutch automatic and quattro all-wheel drive is standard.
There is only one trim level on the S6, and it is well equipped. Standard equipment includes 19-inch wheels, LED headlights, sunroof, power trunklid, electric fold heated mirrors, four-zone climate control, eight way power front sport seats. There is also a Bose 14-speaker stereo with satellite radio. The steering wheel gets paddles for shifting and power adjustment for the tilt and telescope. There's a power sunshade for the rear windshield and manual shades for the rear side windows. The S6 has proximity keyless entry and push button start. For safety, there are front and rear parking sensors, blind spot alert, a top view camera, automatic lights, wipers and high-beams, and rear collision alert. Lane guidance and radar cruise control with stop and go capability is an available option. If the seats aren't enough, 14-way Valcona leather chairs are available with massage function on the front seats. 20-inch wheels are also available and come with performance tires.
The S6 is a competent executive cruiser, and competes with the BMW M5 and Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG. The Audi is a little down on power compared to those, but is not noticeably slower. It's also quite a bit less expensive.
