Toyota Shows Off Inside New C-HR CUV

Toyota is no stranger to the compact CUV show, but their latest entry into the segment is doing its best to out-strange the current crazy lookers, the Nissan Juke and Kia Soul. After they showed the off-the-wall exterior of the C-HR at the Geneva motor show earlier this year, we wondered if the interior would be crazy enough to match. Toyota of Europe has released the first official photos giving us a look inside the C-HR that will arrive at dealers later this year.

The interior seems relatively low-key compared with the exterior (and the exterior itself has been much toned down from the show car), but it sill looks like a pretty trendy place to be. Clean lines, a bright colour accent strip running the width of the dash and down the doors, and very few buttons. There is a large 8.0-inch touchscreen perched atop the dash, with knobs and dials for the HVAC controls. The speaker grilles, switches, door trim, and even the headliner all have touches to reflect the diamond motif of the bodywork.

The C-HR will come with three or five doors, with an available hybrid drivetrain. A variety of engines and transmissions is available in Europe, but which ones we'll get here has yet to be announced.
