Nissan Prices 2017 Pathfinder

Nissan has just announced pricing and detailed some of the changes to their mid-size Pathfinder SUV. The Pathfinder gets a front-end styling revision for this year. There's a large chrome grille surround, boomerang-shaped LED running lights, and new hood creases that Nissan says are more aggressive than before.

Underhood is a new 3.5L direct-injection V6 making 284 hp, a bump of 24 over the old engine. Torque gets a similar increase to 259 lb-ft. That new engine lets you tow up to 2,700 kg when properly equipped. The only transmission choice is a CVT, which Nissan claims has been improved with a more natural (read: more like a conventional automatic) feel.

Also new to Pathfinder are forward emergency braking, radar cruise control, and a surround view monitor that can now detect moving objects. Other changes to the SUV include a motion-activated power tailgate and updates to the infotainment system's connectivity services. The touchscreen expands to 8.0-inches, the voice recognition is improved, and the interface is more user friendly. There is also a new alert system that gives curfew warnings, valet alerts, and can even set geographic limits (after which warnings are sounded).

The 2017 Nissan Pathfinder is available in front and four-wheel drive, starting at $32,498.
